Block Shift

Every sixty seconds the whole world turns into a single block. 277 blocks, a random order, overworld, Nether and End.

# Block Shift

**Every sixty seconds, the whole world turns into a single block.**

Diamond, TNT, slime, glass, wool, gold... 277 blocks drawn in a random order. The overworld, the
Nether and the End all change together, every loaded chunk, in a wave that rolls out from the player at
the speed of a sprint. Survive, build, dig: a minute later, everything is different.

## What it does

- A new block is drawn every minute (configurable) and every solid block of every loaded chunk becomes
that block, down to the bottom of the world. Chunks loaded later catch up the moment they load.
- Your stuff is safe: chests, furnaces, beds, spawners, portals, workstations and anything with a block
entity stay as they are. A player is never buried, and the block under your feet stays.
- Blocks you place stay until the next shift, so you can still craft, smelt and build.
- Sand, gravel and concrete powder fall like in vanilla, spread over time so a collapse never lags.
- A TNT world explodes, but in a controlled way: the chain reaction dies out in seconds.
- Mobs keep spawning as usual, structures are untouched, so fortresses still spawn blazes.
- Every block is drawn once before any comes back, and never the same block twice in a row. A full
round takes about four and a half hours.

## The show

- A boss bar counts down to the next block, red for the last ten seconds.
- At five seconds, a roulette spins through blocks and lands on the next one, with big countdown
  numbers and a heartbeat.
- Then the shift: flash in the block's colour, camera shake, the block's name in big letters, and the
new world popping up column by column with dust and sparks.
- Everything is translated (English and French).

## Commands (operators)

| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
| `/blockshift start` | Starts the run, or resumes it |
| `/blockshift stop` | Stops the changes, the world stays as it is |
| `/blockshift pause`, `/blockshift resume` | Freezes the countdown |
| `/blockshift skip` | Jumps to the roulette, shift in 5 seconds |
| `/blockshift now` | Shifts right away |
| `/blockshift interval <s>` | Seconds between shifts |
| `/blockshift reload` | Reloads the block list |
| `/blockshift reset` | Forgets the run, the next start draws a new order |
| `/blockshift info` | Current block, next block, time left |

`/bloc` is a shorter alias.

## Your own block list

The bundled list is copied to `config/blockshift/blocks.default.json`. Copy it to
`config/blockshift/blocks.json`, keep only the blocks you like (or add your own, palettes included),
then `/blockshift reload`.

## Install

Fabric Loader and Fabric API, Minecraft 26.2. Install it on the server and on every player's client
for the full show (roulette, flash, block name).

| `/blockshift info` | Bloc actuel, bloc suivant, temps restant |

palettes comprises), puis `/blockshift reload`.

## Installation
