What's new
BLib 0.3.7-fork
Shader-pack support for the post-effect framework. If you do not run Iris or Oculus, nothing in this release changes how BLib behaves for you.
BLib is a library. It adds no items, blocks or entities of its own — it provides rendering and AI plumbing that AVP (Alien), AVP (Human) and AVP (Predator) build on.
Game Breaking Changes
None this release. Nothing here removes items, loot, structures, blocks or entities from an existing world, and nothing changes how a world loads. 0.3.7-fork is a drop-in replacement for 0.3.6-fork.
New
THE CLASSIFICATION PASS RUNS WITH SHADERS ON
BLib's entity-classification pass previously stood down whenever an Iris shader pack was loaded. Anything built on it — predator thermal and EM vision, and any dependent mod's equivalent — simply stopped working the moment you turned shaders on.
- It now renders into its own private auxiliary target instead of the main framebuffer, so it no longer collides with what the shader pack owns
- Off by default and gated behind a system property, so the standard rendering path is unchanged
NEW API — BLibPostEffectFramework.isClassificationPassActive()
- Lets a dependent mod tell "a shader pack is loaded" apart from "we are currently inside BLib's own classification pass"
- These are different questions and there was previously no way to ask the second one. A mod that gated on the first would disable itself whenever Iris was merely INSTALLED, pack loaded or not
Changes
MAIN-TARGET ATTACHMENTS ARE NOW TRACKED, NOT ASSUMED
BLib attaches its own render targets at launch and used to assume that arrangement held for the rest of the session.
- It now records whether its attachments are bound and what the shader-pack state was last time it looked
- Toggling a shader pack mid-session reconciles them instead of leaving whatever was set up at launch
OTHER
- Depth snapshot and gbuffer uniform handling corrected for the shader-pack path
- Sky-stage tracking adjusted so classification runs at the right point in the frame under a pack
Bug Fixes
- Toggling a shader pack off mid-session could leave BLib's main-target attachments in a stale state. Dependent vision effects then read from targets that no longer held what they expected, and it persisted until the game was fully restarted — rejoining the world did not clear it
