What's new
New World Preset: Solar System
- Explore floating biosphere systems with 1–16 configurable planets, each on its own orbit.
- Customize planet sizes, height, spacing between planets, and distance between systems.
- Choose the climate direction: warm inner planets and cold outer planets, or the reverse, with a temperate middle zone.
- Each system features a central magma-and-lava or packed-ice biosphere containing a Stronghold.
- Optional ghast, blaze, and phantom guardians defend the system’s center.
- A new violet guide star points toward the center of your current system. This navigation aid can be disabled.
- Players initially spawn on the natural surface of a temperate planet.
- Mineral moons, edge oceans, shell materials, and bedrock modes have independent Solar settings.
- Explore between planets without automatic bridges.
Configuration and Saved Worlds
- Separate configuration files under
config/biosphereworlds/:BiosphereWorlds.tomlfor classic Biospheres.SolarSystems.tomlfor Solar System.
- Previous configuration files are automatically copied to the new location, preserving the originals without overwriting existing files.
- New worlds save their generation settings. Later TOML changes do not alter those worlds’ saved settings.
- Existing classic worlds retain their previous configuration behavior.
Fixes and Improvements
- Fixed player repositioning when logging in or respawning on a biosphere shell, with support for Solar worlds.
- Improved isolation of generation and configuration between worlds.
- Stricter validation of radii, blocks, and mineral catalogs, with clearer diagnostics for invalid configurations.
- Solar moon placement now adjusts to the build-height limit when sufficient space is available.
- Added Solar biome integration with TerraBlender and support for central Stronghold replacements.
Updating
- Create a new world using the Solar System preset to experience the new generation.
- Enable “Generate Structures” when creating a Solar world.
- Existing chunks are not regenerated.
- For new worlds that save their generation settings, subsequent TOML changes apply to newly created worlds.
