biosphereworlds-1.2.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
1.2.0
Added
- Mining satellites: small elevated spheres next to the main ones, with a glass shell, a stone body, a continuous magma layer and a mineral core. Each satellite has a single ore, chosen from the vanilla ores and from ores added by other mods (found through the #c:ores_in_ground/stone block tag), with exclude and include lists. Enabled by default; see satellites_* options.
- bedrock_mode option: floor (default), none, or shell (adds a bedrock lining under the glass in the lower half of each sphere).
- close_open_top option (off by default): closes spheres that exceed the build limit with a flat cap at Y=319.
Fixed
- The mod's carvers no longer run in worlds that do not use the Biospheres preset. Previously glass spheres could appear in a default Overworld world.
- Biomes added through TerraBlender (for example Biomes O' Plenty) now appear inside the spheres in new worlds. The preset uses a vanilla multi-noise biome source and the void outside the spheres is applied by a mixin.
Changed
- Sphere geometry now supports a separate center height per sphere. World generation is unchanged for existing configurations.
Notes
- Use a new world. Already-generated chunks keep their old terrain.
- Worlds created with earlier versions keep the old biome source: they get neither the TerraBlender biomes nor any change to existing chunks.
- Satellites are on by default. In a world created with an earlier version, newly generated chunks can show satellites next to older spheres. Set satellites_enabled = false to avoid it.
- With the default center_y of 62, satellites only fit when the main sphere radius is below roughly 200 to 300 blocks.
- bedrock_mode = none breaks the Create Diesel Generators pumpjack.
- Generation options only affect newly generated chunks. Changes to the ore lists apply after reopening the world or /reload.
