### New: Storage Organ
A variable-size living multiblock storage: the bigger the structure, the more it holds.
**Building it**
- Any rectangular box from 3×3×3 up to 7×7×7. It doesn't have to be a cube; 5×3×5 works too.
- Shared Bone Frames go on every edge and corner.
- Storage Membranes, Storage Intakes and Storage Outlets go on the faces. You can use as many ports as you like.
- The Storage Organ controller sits in the middle of one face, facing outward.
- Storage Vesicles must fill the entire interior with no gaps.
- The structure forms automatically within a second, and the guide has a step-by-step 3D diagram.
**Capacity and balance**
- Each interior vesicle adds 9 cells, and each cell holds one item type, up to 4 stacks.
- A 3×3×3 box holds 9 cells, 5×5×5 holds 243 and 7×7×7 holds 1125.
- The vesicle and controller recipes are expensive: chests, nerve tissue, dense biomass and slime balls.
- The storage needs Biofluid upkeep of 4 mB per vesicle per minute, supplied by a vessel from a heart touching the controller, or by a bucket.
- Maximum size, cells per vesicle, stacks per cell and upkeep can all be changed in the server config.
**Only works when complete**
- The storage opens only while the box is complete and fed.
- Breaking any block of the box closes the ports and the menu instantly, but no items are lost.
- To expand, take one side down and rebuild a larger box; capacity updates once the box is complete again.
- If you rebuild it smaller, the extra cells are kept. You can still take items out of them, or add more of an item already stored there, but they won't accept new item types.
**Access**
- The paged menu shows 54 cells per page with item counts. Click to take a stack, right-click to take half, shift-click to send a stack to your inventory. Click with an item, or shift-click your own inventory, to store items.
- Right-click the controller with an item to store the whole stack.
- The intake accepts hoppers, peristaltic ducts and muscle conveyors. The outlet hands out items to ducts and hoppers.
- Breaking the controller keeps all contents inside the dropped item, like a shulker box, so nothing spills. The tooltip shows the stored item and cell count.
