Changelog

v1.3.20 — Beta

  1. Broken hand-held tools and weapons can now mine and perform melee attacks at one quarter of their unenchanted strength across all five targets.
  2. Broken tool mining speed is capped at an unenchanted stone pickaxe's base speed on the same block, preventing high-stat tools from bypassing the penalty.
  3. Added FTB Ultimine, Ore Excavation, and Vein Mining compatibility across all five targets: broken tools cannot chain mine, and active chains stop when the held tool becomes broken. Ordinary emergency mining remains available.
  4. Broken tool enchantment effects are disabled without deleting the stored enchantments; repairing the item restores their effects.
  5. Broken item names and enchantment tooltips retain their red warning presentation.
  6. Armor, shields, and Create Deployer stop/consumption rules keep their existing behavior.
  7. Added lightingwand:wand to the default protected-item whitelist on NeoForge 1.21.1.
  8. Live changes to the effective server configuration are now synchronized to connected clients, keeping tooltip behavior consistent without reconnecting.

v1.3.12 — Beta

  1. Added the protectEnchantedItems Create Deployer setting on supported versions; it is enabled by default.
  2. Enchanted tools are now protected even when their item IDs are listed as Deployer consumables: they remain broken and stop the machine instead of disappearing.
  3. The consumable warning is hidden for protected enchanted tools and remains visible for unenchanted tools that the Deployer will consume.
  4. Verified the new policy in-game on Forge 1.19.2, Forge 1.20.1, and NeoForge 1.21.1; Forge 1.16.5 retains its existing gameplay behavior.

v1.3.11 — Beta

  1. Added all five Applied Energistics 2 Fluix tools to the default Create Deployer consumption list on supported versions: sword, shovel, pickaxe, axe, and hoe.
  2. Existing configurations that still match the previous default list automatically receive the new Fluix-tool defaults; customized lists remain unchanged.
  3. Added the configurable Create Deployer broken-tool policy and matching tooltip warning to Forge 1.18.2.
  4. Fluix tools now disappear when exhausted by a Create Deployer, while unlisted higher-tier tools remain broken and stop the machine.
  5. Aligned the release version across all maintained build targets; Forge 1.16.5 retains its existing gameplay behavior.

v1.3.10 — Beta

This beta release targets Forge 1.19.2, Forge 1.20.1, and NeoForge 1.21.1.

  1. Fixed Frost Walker continuing to freeze water while the enchanted boots were broken.
  2. Broken Frost Walker boots now retain the enchantment but no longer apply its movement effect until repaired.

v1.3.9 — Beta

This beta release targets Forge 1.19.2, Forge 1.20.1, and NeoForge 1.21.1.

  1. Added configurable broken-tool handling for Create Deployers. Wooden, stone, and iron vanilla tools are consumed by default when exhausted; server owners can change the list in the gameplay configuration.
  2. Broken tools outside the consumption list, including diamond and higher-tier tools, remain inside the Deployer and stop it from performing further actions until the tool is repaired or removed.
  3. Fixed Create Deployers continuing to operate after a retained tool entered its broken state.
  4. Fixed a Forge 1.20.1 crash when a disposable tool reached its breaking point inside a Create Deployer.
  5. Standardized and regression-tested the Create Deployer behavior across all three supported versions.
  6. Fixed a client HUD crash reported by JIANG_XU when broken armor could reduce the effective armor value below zero.

v1.19.2-1.1.0 / v1.20.1-1.0.0 / v1.21.1-1.3.8 — Beta

This beta release brings BetterDurabilityCommunity to Forge 1.19.2, Forge 1.20.1, and NeoForge 1.21.1.

  1. Broken tools, weapons, and armor keep their item identity but no longer provide their normal attribute bonuses.
  2. Broken armor remains equipped without providing armor or toughness, so players can repair it without losing the item.
  3. Broken item names display a localized red (Broken) suffix, including the selected-item name above the hotbar.
  4. Enchantments remain on broken items and their tooltip lines turn red to clearly indicate the item's state.
  5. The Forge 1.19.2 implementation now matches the tested broken-item handling and presentation of the newer versions.
