Wooden armor which will help you with monsters before getting an iron armor, fossilised stones that drop bones or even books and experience ore, which drops 8 exp per one.
No more getting annoyed with destroying gravel in order to get flint and craft arrows, now you can find a flint gravel with old texture, that always drops flint and is easy to find on surface.

Adding 3 new ores: nether experience ore, ender ore which drops ender pearls or eyes and nether gold ores. Also added new blocks, which can be crafted from 9 normal blocks, helping you to keep stacks of cobblestone, stone and quartz in chests!
Rhodonite and Ruby ores have standard recipes for tools etc. but there are also new recipes for backpack and interesting vanilla items.
Experience ore isn't hard to find, because it's not supposed to be. No more getting of getting experience from mining quartz in nether. Experience ore also emits light making it easier to find.

Are vanilla mines boring? No better way of getting experience than mining nether quartz? Missing any pre-iron armor making it hard to deal with monsters? Too many cobblestones and quartz in the chests?
This mod expands survival and mines by adding new ores, over 60 new recipes, items, armors, weapons, tools, blocks and a working backpack.
This mod also helps you to contain blocks like cobblestone in chests and gives you some useful (missed or deleted in vanilla) recipes like 2 logs into 16 sticks to help you progress faster!
Available version are forge 1.12.2, forge 1.14.4 and forge 1.15.2!
Mod is free, I made it to just make survival more entertaining by adding some stuff I thought vanilla Minecraft could have / or should have.

Hardened blocks:
- cobblestone - when you are a miner you always have stacks of cobblestone hard to contain in chests.
- quartz - mining quartz used to be the fastest way of getting experience and you always had stacks of quartz hard to contain in chests.
- stone - players often smelted stacks of cobblestone to get additional experience from it, making them have loads of stone hard to contain in chests.
- netherrack - you get a lot of this in Nether because it's everywhere and it's easy to mine.
- hardened cobblestone can be smelt into hardened stone.
~ hardened blocks are like f.e. lapis blocks - they help you contain loads of blocks in chests by connecting them and then crafting back.
Recipes:
- all recipes can be found in the "Images" section (except for Podzol Dirt due to no more place on the image, it's made by 6 dirts and 3 dead bushes on it)
- Rhodonite and Ruby recipes look the same as the vanilla recipes.
- Diorite, andesite and granite can be crafted into cobblestone making them no longer useless and filling your inventory up
- Wither Boss can be summoned now without the trouble of killing over 100 wither skeletons to get heads (crafting recipe).
Notes:
- Rhodonite items are better than iron items.
- Ruby items are mostly equal to netherite items (better than diamond items).
- Rainbow items can be obtained only in Creative mode.
- Rainbow armor stats are equal to Ruby armor stats, except for the enchantability, rainbow armor has more enchants (like gold armor).
- Experience ores are not affected by Fortune enchantment.
Known issues:
- For the time being custom shovels' effectiveness doesn't affect flint gravel.
