Finally… after almost 6 months of silence, I'm back with an update that will completely change the shape of the mod!
I truly apologize for the long absence, but the reason was simple: I wanted to create an update that’s 100% worth the wait.
This is the Dagger Update… a massive addition and a real turning point for Better Swords Plus.
I kept working, testing, fixing, and improving until I reached a version I’m proud to release today.
Again, I’m sorry for the long delay—but I’m sure this update will make up for all of it
Get ready… because these new daggers will change your combat experience from the very first strike!
1-Void Dagger
A dark, mysterious dagger forged from pure void energy.
Designed for fast, agile players who rely on mobility and surprise attacks.
Its true power lies not in raw damage, but in its ability to disorient and control enemies.
Ability Name: Void Displacement
Ability Description:
On every hit, the Void Dagger has a 20% chance to activate its special void shift effect:

Teleports the target to a random position 3 blocks away from the player

Applies Weakness for 3 seconds

Applies Glowing for 3 seconds to reveal the enemy’s new location
This ability provides strong crowd control and creates openings for follow-up attacks.
2-Cipher Dagger
A refined dagger infused with coded arcane energy. The Cipher Dagger focuses on weakening the opponent while empowering the player, making it ideal for duel-style combat and sustained engagements.
Ability Name: Cipher Glitch
On every hit, the Cipher Dagger has a 20% chance to trigger its feedback effect:
.Applies Weakness II to the target for 3 seconds
.Grants the player Regeneration for 3 seconds
This ability simultaneously lowers the enemy's offensive strength while boosting the player's survivability.
3-Darkrift Dagger
Forged from corrupted shadow essence, the Darkrift Dagger tears open small rifts of dark energy with every strike. Its attacks drain vitality and weaken foes, making it ideal for stealth-focused or hit-and-run combat styles.
Ability Name: Rift Corrosion
Each hit has a 20% chance to unleash dark corrosive energy:
Applies Poison II to the target for 4 seconds
Applies Weakness for 3 seconds
This ability steadily breaks down the enemy’s strength while inflicting constant, shadow-infused decay.
4-Frostspine Dagger
Carved from ancient frozen marrow and infused with chilling essence, the Frostspine Dagger excels at controlling enemy movement. Each strike carries frigid energy designed to hinder mobility and disrupt the target’s ability to fight or flee.
Ability Name: Glacial Cripple
Each hit has a 15% chance to unleash a freezing crippling effect:
Applies Slowness III for 4 seconds
Applies Mining Fatigue II for 3 seconds
This ability severely restricts the enemy’s movement speed and attack capability, making them vulnerable and easy to finish.
5-Inferno Dagger
Forged from condensed magma essence and empowered with blazing infernal energy, the Inferno Dagger is designed to overwhelm enemies with relentless burning and crippling effects. Its strikes ignite foes and weaken them, making it a devastating weapon in close-quarters combat.
Ability Name: Infernal Rupture
Each hit has a 15% chance to unleash an infernal burst:
Applies Weakness II for 3 seconds
Applies Slowness I for 2 seconds
The combination of burning damage, reduced strength, and hindered movement turns every successful proc into a lethal strike.
