Better Desert Temples 1.0.0
First release.
Replaces the vanilla desert pyramid with a five-tier temple mountain, 41 blocks square at the base and 28 to the capstone, on a paved podium with four obelisks and an avenue of sphinxes.
- Grand stair nine wide, notched into the south face, with parapets, lamps, guardian statues and a gate of battered pylons at the foot of the avenue.
- Summit shrine, 11x11, open on four sides, banded in the orange and blue terracotta of the vanilla temple, with an altar, braziers and offering chests.
- The Great Hall: a 25x25 hypostyle with eight papyrus columns, a coffered ceiling, six wall chapels, hieroglyph registers and a grave robbers' tunnel through the north face.
- A spiral stair down the spine of the building, from the shrine to the catacombs.
- Catacombs ten courses down: the Hall of the Dead, four corridors of burial niches, and four corner chambers — the Scribe's Archive, the Decoy Treasury (the old four-chest TNT trap, rebuilt), the Hall of Jars and the Embalming Chamber.
- Four side tombs, picked at random from five: burial chapel, shaft, flooded cistern, collapsed gallery and a cave spider nest.
- The Sand King's vault, walled up from the inside, with a gilded husk, four guardians and the treasure stacked along both walls.
- Three surface annexes per temple, picked from five: caravan camp, queen's pyramid, excavation, stepwell and obelisk court.
- A badlands temple in red sandstone:
betterdeserttemples:temple_badlands. - Thirteen loot tables, plus suspicious sand with the vanilla archaeology loot. The richest chests also roll the vanilla desert pyramid table, so trim templates and sherds still appear.
Pure data: safe on servers, no client install needed. Requires TONI's Structure Lib.
Vanilla spacing, rarity and salt are kept, so /locate works and temple sites do not move.
Existing, already-generated pyramids are left alone.
