Karma

Karma is a hidden survival mechanic represented by a skull icon in the inventory. Your actions influence the Karma level over time, and the higher it becomes, the more dangerous the beaches turn at night. Violent or desperate actions such as killing animals, murdering villagers or players, starving, dying, cutting yourself, or simply surviving during storms and nighttime will slowly increase Karma. There are 6 total levels of Karma and a maximum of 100 Karma Points. As the level rises, players receive unsettling warnings, the symbol of the skull changes and stronger cannibal variants begin appearing. Karma can be reduced using Karma Totems, removing 50 Karma Points and allowing players to temporarily calm the shoreline once again.

Plastic

Plastic is a resource found across beaches and oceans in the form of bottles, bags, sticks, and rings. While appearing as trash washed ashore during storms, plastic can be collected and recycled into useful crafting materials. During storms, more plastic can be found in the ocean. Using recycling bins, players can process plastic into smaller components used for creating a wide variety of items, including tools, armor, shields, fishing equipment, decorative blocks, beach items, and survival gear. These new plastic items can also get recycled in the recycling bin.

Show all Creatures

Crab

Crabs are small passive creatures commonly found wandering across beaches. They will quickly run away from nearby players. They drop crab meat which can be consumed. As a small easter egg, renaming a crab to “Mr. Crabs” gives it a special reference appearance.

Coconut Crab

Coconut Crabs can rarely appear when destroying coconuts from palm trees. Unlike normal crabs, they are much larger and far more resistant. They remain neutral unless attacked, but once provoked, they become aggressive and defend themselves with powerful attacks.

Dodo

Dodos are extinct, flightless birds that inhabit beaches. They are extremely unintelligent creatures and will not attempt to flee when attacked. Dodos can follow players holding seeds and may be tamed using melons or seeds. They occasionally lay rare Dodo Eggs and can also provide Dodo Meat, which restores a high amount of hunger and saturation when eaten.

Seagull

Seagulls are neutral flying birds that naturally spawn around beaches. Normally harmless, they become aggressive if a nearby player is holding food in their main hand. Once angered, they will attempt to attack and steal the food from the player before eventually calming down again.

Portuguese Man o' War

The Portuguese Man o’ War is a dangerous jellyfish that can appear in oceans or on beaches during rain or thunderstorms, and rarely at night. While passive, touching, hitting, or interacting with it will inflict an extremely powerful venom effect that causes poison, nausea, slowness, weakness, mining fatigue, and eventually wither damage. It can survive both in water and on land without drowning. Players can also collect it using a bucket, making it possible to transport this dangerous creature elsewhere.

Sand Worm

Sand Worms are hidden predators that lurk beneath beaches, deserts, and badlands. While underground, they remain invisible and create particles above the sand. If a player is too close, the worm suddenly bursts from the ground and starts attacking. If no player remains nearby or the Sand Worm is being hitted, the Sand Worm quickly burrows back underground and disappears beneath the surface once again to ambush it's prey.

Cannibal

Cannibals are hostile tribal entities that appear during the night on beaches or jungles depending on the Karma level. They hunt animals, villagers, and players, and become more dangerous as groups grow. When one cannibal is attacked, nearby members are alerted and will join the fight. They can also pick up and carry meat items from the ground which they will drop if killed. During the day, they retreat away from players and move toward the west if no targets are nearby. They spawn at Karma Level 1.

Torch Cannibal

Torch Cannibals are armed with torches. They use fire to deal additional damage and provide light. If submerged in water, they won't emit light or deal fire damage. They spawn at Karma Level 1.

Spear Cannibal

Spear Cannibals are equipped with long-range spears. They can strike from a distance with increased reach and deal higher damage than basic cannibals. They spawn at Karma Level 2.

Pickaxe Cannibal

Pickaxe Cannibals are armed with pickaxes capable of breaking weak blocks such as wood and doors, but also stone. They wear bone masks and spawn at Karma Level 2.

Cannibal Archer

Cannibal Archers attack from distances using bows and arrows, just like a regular skeleton. They spawn at Karma Level 3.

Caller Cannibal

Caller Cannibals do not focus on direct combat. Instead, they alert nearby tribe members when becoming aggressive. When triggered, they leak the player’s location to all cannibals within a range of 20 blocks. If too close to danger, they will attempt to flee. They spawn at Karma Level 3.

Cannibal Trader

Cannibal Traders are rare neutral variants that will not attack unless provoked. They offer trades for gold ingots and can trade items like coconuts, cannibal masks, palm wood and more. They can be recognized by their backpack and bamboo stick. If attacked, they immediately turn hostile and alert nearby cannibals. They spawn at Karma Level 3.

Flaming Cannibal Archer

Flaming Cannibal Archers are advanced Cannibal Archers that shoot fire arrows. They spawn at Karma Level 4.

Bongo Cannibal

Bongo Cannibals act as support units that use drums to make music. If aggressive, they will play music and alert nearby cannibals and also strengthen them. They spawn at Karma Level 4.

Blowgun Cannibal

Blowgun Cannibals use poisoned arrows to weaken enemies from range. Instead of a bow, they use bamboo sticks as blowguns. They spawn at Karma Level 5.

Cannibal Shaman

Cannibal Shamans are capable of summoning undead cannibals if aggressive and a target is nearby. They wear a bone mask, a red cape and carry a mystical staffs. They will summon 4 undead cannibals around them if there is enough room. They spawn at Karma Level 5.

Undead Cannibal

Undead Cannibals are skeletons of cannibals that are summoned by the Cannibal Shaman. They can't swim or burn during the day but they won't run away like normal cannibals, but will get damage. They are aggressive and attack players.

Explosive Cannibal Archer

Explosive Cannibal Archers are advanced Cannibal Arches that uses explosive arrows. Their attacks deal massive area damage and are capable of destroying structures. They spawn at Karma Level 6.

Cannibal Leader

The Cannibal Leader is the strongest cannibal variant, acting as the commander of the cannibals. He is big and equipped with a shield and a powerful axe. He has high health, resistance, and damage, and can perform powerful melee attacks, dashes, and shockwaves with it's massive axe. He also heals by killing entities and sets the attack target of nearby cannibals to the same target as his. They spawn at Karma Level 6.
