Bee Workforce 0.6.0 Release Notes

Bee Workforce 0.6.0 focuses on Blueprint placement behavior, bee species display, JEI usability, and lifetime inheritance.

This is a stability and usability release for the large Blueprint Project and bee species features introduced in 0.5.0.

Highlights

Blueprint Origin Update

• Blueprint Creator Blocks and Bee Construction Blocks now use the block's forward direction as the origin reference instead of the block above them.
• Scan and construction areas now start one block in front of the block, making placement direction easier to understand.
• Huge Blueprint Creator Blocks use the same directional origin behavior for large Blueprint Project scans.
• Existing setups may need to be repositioned because this changes how scan and build areas line up.

Correct Bee Species Names

• Bee entities in the world now display the correct species name.
• Honey Forager Bee, Construction Bee, and other bee species now match their item identity when shown in entity overlays.
• The message shown when returning a bee to an item also uses the actual bee species name.

Improved JEI Display

• JEI now lists each bee species as its own visible bee item variant.
• Selective Breeding Hive mutation routes are easier to browse by species.
• The Honey Forager Bee item no longer acts as the only visible entry for all bee breeding routes.

Lifetime Display and Inheritance Fix

• Bee status now shows remaining life as current value / maximum value.
• Breeding now inherits a bee's maximum lifetime instead of its already-spent remaining lifetime.
• This prevents offspring from becoming unexpectedly short-lived just because a parent had already worked.

Honey Forager Bee Adjustment

• Honey Forager Bees now correctly apply their species bonus when collecting honey.
• Honey foraging increases the Honey Level of the vanilla Bee Nest or Beehive used as the bee's home.
• Foraging attempts consume lifetime, and Honey Level increases only when the attempt succeeds.

UI Polish

• Blueprint Creator Block slot labeling was adjusted.
• The Paper / Project Card slot label should no longer overlap the item slot.

Notes

• The Blueprint origin change affects existing worksite layouts. From 0.6.0 onward, place Blueprint devices with the target area in front of the block.
• Large Blueprint Projects remain a large-construction feature. Back up important worlds before using them on major builds.
• Bee Workforce places and removes real blocks in your world. Please make a backup before large construction or removal work.
