Description
Adds opal ore to the overworld and end, along with bright, colorful blocks, armor, tools, and trim.
How good is opal?
- Opal tools are as good as diamond.
- Opal does more damage than netherite, but with lower durability and enchantability of diamond.
- Opal armor is better than netherite in all ways except fire imunity.
Where do you get opal?
- Opal spawns in the overworld between -16 and 16 with similar rarity to ancient debris.
- Opal is more common in the end, mostly down near the void.
- The easiest place to find opal is the outer end, where it can spawn rarely on the surface.
This mod is a port of "Mainly Opal Tools And Armor" by CurseForge user LieutenantTank.
It was coded from scratch with the same tool/armor stats. Most items use the original textures. New textures for things like the hoe, armor trim, ores, etc. have been created by editing textures from the original mod. The original author has expressed approval of ports being made as seen here:
