Beans' Arcade — Rework Update v1.4.0 Changelog:

New machines

• BLOCK SLAYER: a retro first-person demon shooter on its own cabinet.
  • Fight through four Nether stronghold levels (Hellgate, Blackstone Keep, Crimson Citadel, The Wither Throne). Find coloured keys, push open secret walls and flip the exit switch.
  • Demons: zombie piglins, blazes, hoglins, ghasts, wither skeletons and a final Wither boss.
  • Weapons: diamond sword, hand crossbow, blast shotgun, chaingun and rocket launcher.
  • A Doom-style status bar with a Steve face that reacts as you take damage, an automap (Tab) and a chiptune metal soundtrack (M to toggle).
  • The cabinet has a horned demon skull with glowing eyes, a fanged screen bezel and flame art. It costs 2 tokens a run.
• BEELINE: a maze chase. Steer a bee around a honeycomb maze collecting pollen.
  • A Creeper, Enderman, Blaze and Phantom hunt you, each in its own way.
  • Grab a honeycomb to scare them and sting them for up to 1,600 points.
  • Bonus flowers, an extra bee at 10,000 points and faster levels.
  • The honey-gold cabinet has a beehive on top.
• Bear Snip: a cut-the-string prize machine.
  • A giant teddy hangs by one thin, swaying wire. You get one push right and one push back, then the blade snaps.
  • Cut the wire to win the Giant Bear Plush. It's genuinely hard; near misses still pay tickets.
• Giant Bear Plush: a two-block-tall teddy you can place, hug and squish.

18 novelty prizes

These can be won from the Prize Counter, the claw machine and the prize wheel.

• Rubber Chicken: squeaks on right-click, sends things flying when you hit them, and chickens squawk back. There's also a Golden version that can drop tickets.
• Sticky Hand: shoots a green hand on a stretchy cord that grabs dropped items and reels them in.
• Kazoo: hold to hum. Look up for high notes and down for low, and sneak for vibrato.
• Ender 8-Ball: shake it for a mystic answer revealed on screen. Sometimes it tells you true things, like whether there are diamonds below you.
• Jumbo Lollipop: lick it a bit at a time and you're left holding the stick.
• Ticket Fortune Cookie: gives a fortune paper with lucky numbers, and maybe some tickets.
• Placeable prizes:
  • Pet Rock: googly eyes, a name and daily moods.
  • Snow Globe: snow falls inside, and shaking it plays a tune.
  • Six glowing lava lamps.
• Wearables:
  • Propeller Beanie: the propeller spins, faster while you fall.
  • Groucho Glasses: villagers aren't fooled.
  • 3D Foam Finger: cheer your friends on.
• Also: a Slinky that walks down stairs, a Super Bouncy Ball your wolf will fetch, a Rubber Duck, Chattering Teeth and the Mystery Box (it's boxes all the way down).

Remodels

• Skee-Ball:
  • A maple alley and a glossy ramp.
  • Colour-banded rings, gold 100-point pockets and an arched marquee.
  • A coin and ticket console at the player end.
• Hoop Shot:
  • A hardwood court ramp and a netted cage.
  • A clear backboard with a shooter's square, and a HOOP SHOT marquee with a basketball on top.
• Photo Booth:
  • A retro teal booth with a velvet curtain, a sample photo strip and a lit marquee.
  • The menu now shows your frame on a photo print, or a contact sheet when you pick the 4-shot strip.
• Prize art: sharper item textures across all the new prizes.

12 new advancements

Rip and Tear, Hell Conquered, Snip Snip Hooray!, So Close!, Bear Hug, Busy Bee, Queen Bee, Thwap!, Down to the Stick, Kazoo Solo, Fortune Favours You and Signs Point to Yes. Some are hidden.

Fixes:

• Fixed a black screen on startup.
• Mystery boxes now open properly in survival.
• Fixed flickering surfaces on the Hoop Shot machine, the air hockey table and its scoreboard, and the Giant Bear Plush.
• Lollipop licking now holds the lollipop by the stick, and you keep the stick when it's finished.
• BLOCK SLAYER: clicking to fire now works.
• BEELINE: the bee no longer disappears when moving left, and the game is a little slower.
• Fortune and 8-Ball answers no longer spam chat.
