What's new

First version.

  • Altars and relays
    • Altar: 6 faces with 9 rune slots each; links reach 16 blocks.
    • Standing Stone: a relay with no runes, 32-block range.
    • Cairn: any distance, across dimensions, no line of sight needed.
    • Dowsing Rod to link and unlink altars and relays.
    • Beams go through blocks; a server setting makes opaque blocks cut them.
  • Runes
    • Item, fluid, energy and redstone runes.
    • Modes: insert, extract, stock (with optional regulation) and sensor.
    • Settings: 16 channels, priority, amount and interval raised by up to 4 power stones, round robin (off, on or strict), exact mode, inventory side and redstone condition.
    • Energy: generators can push energy into an altar; inserting and stocking runes have a fill limit.
  • Tablets
    • Basic, count, tag, mod and data tablets, for items and fluids.
    • With JEI: drag items or fluids from its list into a tablet (a fluid goes in as its bucket).
    • A tag tablet shows the fluid tags of a fluid container too.
    • Right-click a tablet in a rune to edit it without taking it out.
  • Redstone
    • Redstone runes read a signal into a channel (input) or emit a channel's signal (output, weak or strong).
    • Sensors turn a channel on when an inventory matches their tablet.
    • Every rune can wait for a redstone signal.
  • Tools
    • Rune Case: 18 slots; while it is in your inventory, its contents show next to the altar and rune screens.
    • Astrolabe: copies a rune's settings onto other runes.
    • Codex: the in-game guide, a page for every item.
    • Raw Crystal and Set Crystal as crafting ingredients.
  • Look
    • Ancient style: stone altars with a crystal turning at their heart, standing stones and cairns.
    • Each network picks any RGB color and opacity for its beams (or hides them) and a color for its crystals; a dye used on an altar works too.
    • Screens drawn without textures, with rounded corners, animated switches and matching tooltips.
    • The altar shows its six faces as tiles (the block each one touches, its number of runes), its rack, and the list of what its runes do; a click in the list opens a rune.
    • A rune only shows the settings that apply to its type and mode. Every control explains itself in its tooltip.
  • Performance
    • One tick for every network of the server, within a time budget that grows while the server has room.
    • Each item only looks at the destinations whose tablet may take it.
    • A rune change only reads its altar again. A link change, or altars loading or unloading, only rebuilds the networks around them; altars loading together join in one rebuild.
    • Vanilla containers are changed directly, marked changed once instead of twice.
    • Beams are drawn from cached geometry.
  • Commands
    • /beamline monitor, /beamline stats, /beamline benchmark (chest pairs, a dense layout with filtered runes, a storage test with chests, barrels or drawers, an export test from AE2 interfaces, a flood test) and /beamline ramp.
  • Languages: English and French.
