What's new

Base Metals 3.1.1.121011

  • Fix startup failures when Base Metals is added to an existing modern world, including worlds with LZ4-compressed chunks, external chunks or empty region files.
  • Stop old level.dat_old backups from replacing current player data or enabling legacy terrain protection.
  • Keep genuine legacy upgrades, reloads and later-opened chunks supported, including chunks in nested custom dimensions.
  • Port the released 1.20.6 version to Minecraft 1.21.1 and Forge 52.1.0, keeping Java 21.
  • Keep raw metals, Kiri's ore overlays, filled buckets, High/Low Fantasy and the existing gameplay fixes.
  • Use vanilla copper forms where they overlap, while keeping old Base Metals items and blocks valid in saves.
  • Accept both copper versions in shared ingredients and keep recycling within the material cost.
  • Update recipes, tags, loot, advancements and enchantments for Minecraft 1.21's data formats.
  • Keep arrows and bolts tied to their firing weapon so native enchantments apply after material damage.
  • Use the published OreSpawn 4.1.0.121011 release with the same eleven ore rules and copper defaults.
  • Keep automated client checks from hanging at Forge's splash screen on virtual displays.

Base Metals 3.1.0.120061

  • Port the released 1.20.1 version to Minecraft 1.20.6, Forge 50.2.0 and Java 21.
  • Keep raw metals, Kiri's ore overlays, filled buckets, High/Low Fantasy and the existing gameplay fixes.
  • Update equipment, item data, recipes, trades and loot for the new component and codec APIs.
  • Check client and server content modes during Forge's configuration phase before joining a world.
  • Keep names, enchantments and custom data when repairing or upgrading equipment.
  • Retain saved arrow and bolt ammunition through the item-data conversion.
  • Use the published OreSpawn 4.1.0.120061 release with the same provider rules and copper defaults.
  • Retain compatible integration data without loading unsupported optional-mod jars.
  • Keep the port's worlds, test probes and development output separate from public jars.

Base Metals 3.1.0.120011

  • Port the 1.19.4 version to Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge 47.4.10.
  • Keep raw metals, Kiri's ore overlays, filled buckets, High/Low Fantasy modes and the earlier fixes.
  • Update creative tabs, configuration drawing, loot and networking for the newer APIs.
  • Fix an intermittent Forge login stall by keeping socket read changes on Netty's event loop.
  • Use the published OreSpawn 4.1.0.120011 release, with the same ore rules and copper defaults.
  • Update optional integrations for their 1.20.1 APIs and keep them in a separate development profile.
  • Preserve existing blocks, items, configuration keys and old-world conversion backups.
  • Build sources and Javadocs as UTF-8 on every platform.

Base Metals 3.1.0.119041

  • Port the 1.18 version to Minecraft 1.19.4 and Forge 45.4.0.
  • Keep raw metals, Kiri's ore overlays, High/Low Fantasy modes and the fixes from 1.18.
  • Use the new creative tabs and fluid types. Filled molten-metal buckets remain visible and searchable.
  • Update door models, recipes, loot, configuration screens and save conversion for the newer Minecraft APIs.
  • Save configuration-screen changes together so quick edits aren't lost.
  • Preserve translated characters when building on Windows.
  • Remove obsolete vanilla biome registry snapshots during upgrades, with a backup. Keep modded biome snapshots untouched.
  • Require the published OreSpawn 4.1.0.119041 release, keeping the same ore rules and copper defaults.
  • Keep unsupported optional-mod jars out of development launches. Their integration data is retained for future compatibility work.

Base Metals 3.1.0.118021

  • Bring raw metals, ore overlays and High/Low Fantasy modes to Minecraft 1.18.2, along with the fixes from the earlier ports.
  • Use KiriCattus' ore overlays over vanilla block textures, including resource-pack replacements.
  • Add twelve raw metals, Fortune and Silk Touch drops, raw crushing, smelting and blasting. Copper uses vanilla raw copper.
  • Add High and Low Fantasy modes and a configuration screen in both the Mods list and OreSpawn. Old configs default to High Fantasy.
  • Stop metal powders and nuggets burning in furnaces (#473).
  • Give doors distinct six-ingredient recipes, separate from trapdoors (#474).
  • Restore sixteen steel rails, material-based ranged damage, and ingot-based recipe discovery (#467).
  • Fix Obsidian and equipment recipe loops. Keep plate repair recipes out of the recipe book and preserve names and custom item data.
  • Fix thin transparent blocks hiding neighbouring faces, improve bucket names and tooltips, and make horse armour unstackable.
  • Improve old-world aliases and wall conversion, remove phantom bed entities, and protect saved terrain while allowing 1.18's new underground.
  • Require the published OreSpawn 4.1.0.118021 release. Keep the existing ore rules, height ranges and disabled-by-default Base Metals copper generation.
  • Move native model and data generation out of the production source set. The generateResources task updates the checked-in data.
  • Keep optional mods out of normal development launches. Add a separate client profile for Tinkers, Mantle and compatibility testing.
  • Fix flickering bar textures by using the correct centre-post and end pieces, without changing their collision shapes.

Base Metals 3.0.1.118021

  • Modernize the Minecraft 1.18.2 build to ForgeGradle 7.0.34 and Gradle 9.6.1.
  • Qualify against the exact OreSpawn 4.0.16.118021 CurseForge release while retaining the supported OreSpawn 4.x runtime range.
  • Add deterministic main, sources, and Javadocs artifacts with release checksums and guarded publication validation.
  • Isolate GameTests and smoke fixtures from production artifacts and Eclipse production launches.
  • Add pinned GitHub Actions for build, GameTests, generated-data drift, CodeQL, wrapper validation, and target-qualified releases.

Gameplay, registry IDs, recipes, save migration, and the OreSpawn provider rules are unchanged from Base Metals 3.0.0.
