The Manila Rooms
If you die within any level, you will respawn back there, so once your in, you are never being let back out.
Levels can have player-placed blocks in the level, including spawn, without being overridden or gone, so bases and other player-made structures can be made!
Level descriptions have been posted in the images tab due to me being unable to post images here. Please check that tab out for info on the levels!
how do the exits work?
For elevators:
Pressing the button will send you to a certain level. The level you will go to is labeled on the indicator above the doors. So, for instance, if it reads "2", it will take you to level 2.
For Doors: Depending on the level, you can be sent to level 1, 2, 3, or 4. It is absolutely random, however, so it is much more risky and unpredictable!
Now, onto the items! You can find crates within levels that can drop a variety of items, some of which include cans, crayons, coins, can openers, almond water and liquid pain, and crowbars.
Unopened cans can be opened with a can opener, with instructions that you can read if you hover over the item, but I'll also explain it here. Put the can in either your main or off-hand, and the can opener in the opposite hand to open it! The can opener has limited durability, but you can get many from crates. When you have opened the can, Another item will replace it, Open can, that is a food source. Once you've eaten it, an empty can is produced that can be smelted into iron nuggets. Empty cans can also be found in crates.
Crowbars can also drop from the crates, capable of opening nailed-shut crates (those will disappear without the crowbar) that can give much better loot. Crowbars also have limited uses. They can also be used as a weapon.
Almond water is a healing item that the player can use to gain back health, but be careful you aren't accidentally drinking liquid pain! Liquid pain looks a lot like almond water, but if you were to pay attention, liquid pain has a barely noticeable, redder tint than almond water. Liquid pain induces negative effects: wither, nausea, blindness, and slowness. Almond water can help clear these effects, so even if you weren't paying attention, you can still save yourself!
Crayons are unique items. they can be used as a last-resort food item, able to get 8 crayons total from a box. There are rumors that someone has laced a crayon with liquid pain...
Coins are items that can be used in vending machines found mainly in level 4, capable of buying almond water, and food cans. Other than vending machines, They don't have any other uses.
Other useful stuff:
Noclipping: Lets the player enter into the backrooms. In the overworld, there are multiple ways one can noclip:
1. Pressing the "N" keybind to noclip has a small, rare chance to noclip in.
2. The player can randomly noclip in without pressing "N", although is seriously rare.
3. Jumping off a cliff for a long enough distance has a small chance to noclip, however is rare and can instead cause you to break your legs instead. The most risky option
There are many items, some aimed to help sustain the players within the backrooms: from food, like cans, to almond water to heal and help the player. There are also harmful items, like Liquid Pain, which will cause many harmful effects to the player (can be healed by the previously stated almond water), plus other miscellaneous items.
