Welcome to the update I dubbed Reduction!
I cleaned up tons of the code, deleted the unused dimensions (removing the "experimental" popup on world load) and did many bugfixes!
The top highlights are:
- Creative-Only Swords deal correct damage.
- Creepers explode a bit after death (parity with classic)
- Lang Bugfixes
- Many, many mob loot table changes
Bees rarely drop poppies, dandelions, and cornflowers
Bats rarely drop feathers
Endermites match Endermen loot tables
Husks can drop leather as well as rotten flesh (in the same roll)
Polar Bears can drop leather
Players drop their heads no matter how they are killed (new feature that calls back to Notch dropping apples)
Rabbits have a 1% chance of dropping leather.
Cod, Salmon, and Tropical Fish have a tiny chance of dropping bones (snapshot callback)
Zombies drop feathers in a loot table instead of a procedure (optimization)
Zombie Horses and Zombie Villagers also may drop feathers (same rate as Zombies)
Zombified Piglins (Zombie Pigmen) may drop porkchops.
- Many chest loot table changes
Mansion, Dungeon, Ruined Portal, Outpost, Nether Fortress, Jungle Temple (Dispenser), Igloo, End City, Desert Temple, Bastion, Mineshaft, and some Village chests have been tweaked to add in roses, cave roses, plated armor, and more optimizations.
Mansion chests have been the most modified, making them roughly as good (slightly worse) then End City Chests to account for Mansions being an end-game task.
Jungle Temple Dispensers may shoot fire charges as well since they should be a bit trickier to handle (very little challenge)
The modified chests in Villages are the Plains House and Tannery. In the house the new flowers were added, in the tannery, not much is really changed (maybe a bit more leather).
Nether Fortresses can rarely house a Nether Reactor Core in their chests.
Finally, Ruined Portals can have Glowing Obsidian
I hope you all enjoy this release!
