Well, you've come to the right place! This is the baby ghast mod, a mod that will add...you guessed it! Baby Ghasts!
Baby ghasts are the baby form of ghasts. They like to eat nether wart blocks and have a ranged attack to attack their foes!
You will most commonly find baby ghasts living in ghast nests found in the Nether. More specifically in the Crimson Forest, the Soul Sand Valley, and the Nether Wastes. Their nests are made of crimson hyphae and other materials from the end and they look like this:The ghasts may or may not have hid something in here...
As you can see, most of the ghasts in here are still in their eggs because they have a very hard time breaking through their eggshell. But you can help! simply right click on a cluster of eggs to crack them open, and three baby ghasts will pop out! But they aren't automatically your friends. Here's how to tame them.
Even though baby ghasts love to eat nether wart blocks, they actually like Magma Cream better. Feed a baby ghast enough magma cream, and it will become your friend! It will follow you wherever you go and are very good fighters, having a ranged crying attack! But they aren't really sad, It's just how they fight! probably.....
Each time they defeat a mob, they will shed a ghast tear as a symbol of victory. They toooatlally aren't sad! Hopefully!
Other info to keep in mind
Despite being baby ghasts, they do not actually develop into regular ghasts as of now.
Untamed baby ghasts are neutral mobs. This means they will attack you if provoked. And not just one, but the whole squad will attack!
Even though it's easier to get baby ghasts from nests, you may find some spawning naturally if you're lucky.
As of right now, ghast eggs are not renewable, so if you're a builder who wants to use ghast eggs in your builds, or a collector who wants to add them to your collection, I would hold onto them!
Ghast eggs can be picked up without silk touch.
