Welcome to AVP (Alien)! This Minecraft mod is made in 1.21.1 and is home to alien-related content from the Alien, Predator and AVP franchises. The mod is currently available for Fabric and NeoForge.

MIGRATING FROM "AVP"

If you are migrating from the 1.21.1 "AVP" mod (found here: https://modrinth.com/mod/avp) to the split up AVP files, you MUST use ALL modules provided (Alien, Human and Predator) to avoid losing data in your worlds and/or corrupting your worlds. Do not use the standalone AVP mod as it will no longer be updated.

Also, please BACK UP YOUR WORLDS before migrating! The different modules should migrate their respective content automatically, but it never hurts to back things up just in case! :)

Features

Xenomorph Lifecycle

Experience the complete xenomorph lifecycle with 12 distinct entity types and 4 strain variants:

Lifecycle Stages:

Ovomorph - The iconic alien egg that waits patiently for hosts to approach.
Facehugger - Parasitic stage that seeks out and attaches to viable hosts.
Chestburster - The emerging larval stage after successful implantation.
Adolescent - Transitional growth stage before reaching maturity.

Adult Xenomorph Castes:

Drone - The standard xenomorph, versatile workers and warriors of the hive.
Warrior - Combat-focused caste with enhanced offensive capabilities.
Runner - Quadrupedal variant, faster and more agile than standard xenomorphs.
Prowler - Stealthy hunters specialized in ambush tactics.
Spitter - Ranged attackers capable of projecting acidic projectiles.
Boiler - Volatile xenomorphs that explode in a shower of acid when killed.
Crusher - Heavily armored tanks with devastating charging attacks.
Praetorian - Elite royal guards, larger and more powerful than standard castes.
Queen - The matriarch of the hive, capable of laying eggs via her ovipositor.
Predalien - Hybrid xenomorphs born from yautja hosts, combining traits of both species.

Strain Variants:

Each xenomorph caste comes in multiple strain variants with unique appearances:

Standard - Classic xenomorph coloration.
Nether - Fire-resistant variants adapted to hellish environments.
Aberrant - Mutated strain with distinct visual characteristics. Only available when the AVP: Human module is present.
Irradiated - Radioactive variants found near contaminated areas. Only available when the AVP: Human module is present.
Royal - Special lineage destined to become queens.

Hive System

Xenomorphs form organized hives with intelligent group behaviors:

Hive Membership - Xenomorphs belong to hives and coordinate their actions.
Leadership Hierarchy - Hives select leaders based on caste priority (queens, praetorians, etc.).
Population Balancing - Hives manage their caste composition for optimal efficiency.
Hive Merging - Nearby hives can merge into larger, more powerful colonies.
Resin Spreading - Xenomorphs spread resin to expand and reinforce their territory.

Armor Sets

Protect yourself with 8 complete armor sets, each with 4 pieces (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots):

Chitin Armor:

Chitin Armor - Basic xenomorph chitin provides decent protection.
Nether Chitin Armor - Fire-resistant armor from nether xenomorphs.
Aberrant Chitin Armor - Basic chitin armor from aberrant xenomorphs.
Irradiated Chitin Armor - Armor crafted from irradiated xenomorph remains.

Plated Chitin Armor:

Plated Chitin Armor - Reinforced chitin offering superior durability.
Plated Nether Chitin Armor - Enhanced fire-resistant protection.
Plated Aberrant Chitin Armor - Enhanced aberrant variant.
Plated Irradiated Chitin Armor - Reinforced irradiated chitin gear.
