Aux Cord
Control your music without leaving Minecraft. Play, pause, skip and seek Spotify, with album art, a Now Playing card and synced lyrics. Works with free Spotify accounts. No Premium, no developer app, no login.
Aux Cord also works with almost any music app on Windows: YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and music playing in your browser.
Features
🎵 Now Playing card
Slides in when the song changes, showing the album cover, title, artist, a live progress bar and the current lyric line. Its colors come from the album art, so every song gets its own look.
🎛️ Music player (press ;)
- Big album art, title, artist and album
- Play / pause, previous, next
- Click or drag the progress bar to seek
- Synced lyrics that scroll along with the song
- MC music: Auto-pause keeps Minecraft's background music quiet while your own music plays (your volume settings aren't changed)
🎨 HUD editor
- Drag the card anywhere. It snaps to the screen edges and center.
- Four styles: Full card, Compact, Cover only, Text only
- Size, background opacity and width
- Turn the cover, progress bar, time, lyrics and equalizer on or off
- Colors from the album, or a fixed color
- Show it always, when the song changes, or never, and choose whether it stays visible in menus and inventories

📻 Free accounts welcome
- Spotify ads show as a clean "Advertisement" card.
- The search box opens your search in the Spotify app.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11. Aux Cord uses Windows' built-in media controls.
- Fabric Loader and Fabric API
- Client-side only. It doesn't need to be on the server.
How it works (privacy)
- Aux Cord includes a small PowerShell script that reads Windows' media controls, the same ones your keyboard's media keys and the volume pop-up use. It only reads what's playing and sends play/pause/skip/seek. It runs only while the game is open. The script ships inside the jar (
assets/auxcord/helper/media.ps1) as plain text you can read. - Lyrics come from LRCLIB, a free, open lyrics database. To find lyrics, the song's title, artist, album and length are sent to lrclib.net. Nothing else leaves your PC. You can turn off lyrics on the card in the HUD editor.
- No accounts, no tracking, no analytics.
Aux Cord isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB.
