Description
AutoVerse
A complete automotive ecosystem for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).
AutoVerse doesn't add "some cars." It adds one vehicle entity driven by a real simulation, plus a data layer describing what it's made of. A 1.0 three-cylinder hatchback and a 6.5 V12 hypercar run the exact same code — what separates them is a set of JSON files describing their engine, transmission, suspension, tires and body.
Real driving
Power comes off a real torque curve, runs through a clutch, a transmission and a differential, and reaches the road through a tire model that can actually lose grip.
Nothing is faked. Fit a shorter final drive and you gain acceleration and lose top speed, because that's what the math does. Every tick is split into ten substeps so the physics never oscillates.
- Engines 2-stroke and 4-stroke, gas and diesel, 1 to 12 cylinders, inline, V, boxer and W.
- Forced induction with turbo, twin-turbo and supercharger, each with its own lag and blow-off valve.
- Transmissions manual, automatic, sequential, dual-clutch and CVT, with FWD, RWD, AWD and 4WD.
- Differentials open, limited-slip, locked and lockable.
- Temperatures for engine, brakes, tires and turbo: brakes fade, tires change grip as they heat up, and a cold engine doesn't make full power.
- Wear and damage per component, with real consequences: a damaged radiator overheats the engine, a worn tire loses grip.
Three modes
ARCADE (the default) is planted and forgiving: tires hold on through far more slip before letting go and keep almost all their grip when they do, so a slide never snaps away from you. REALISTIC runs the model as written. SIMULATION removes the aids and adds stalling.
Build your own
The workbench ships 21 ready-made vehicles, from a 50cc moped to a V10 single-seater or a 6-ton truck. But the real feature is the step-by-step builder:
Pick a chassis and you immediately have a complete, working car. From there you walk through engine, fuel, transmission, drivetrain, differential, suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, steering, electronics and exhaust, changing only what you care about.
Every step only offers parts that fit. No lists full of red options: if an engine won't fit the bay or a tire isn't the right size for your wheel, it simply isn't shown. While you build you see the car rotating on screen and watch power, 0-60 and top speed change with every part.
Missing materials show in red with the exact count, and if the build button is grayed out, it tells you why.
Everything else
- Dashboard with tachometer, gear, fuel, temperature and warning lights. For the driver it's predicted locally, so it never lags, even in multiplayer.
- Sound synthesized from engine physics: firing frequency comes from the cylinder count and stroke, with the uneven intervals each layout produces. That's why a cross-plane V8 burbles and a 2-stroke doesn't. Multiple layers blend by RPM and by load.
- Garage to store vehicles, service them, repaint them and swap parts.
- Refinery turning coal, kelp, clay and sugar cane into 95 and 98 octane gas, diesel, E85, 2-stroke mix and race fuel.
- Lights that actually light the road, turn signals, horn and diff lock.
- Multiplayer with a server-authoritative simulation and client prediction, so it drives the same at 10 ms as at 150.
- Fully datapack-driven: vehicles, engines, fuels and parts are JSON, and sounds live in the resource pack. Adding content requires no Java.
English and Spanish included.
