Automechs
Build, power, and program mobile worker robots — then send them out to do your jobs for you.
Most automation in big packs is either stationary machines or dumb combat pets. Automechs fills the gap: a programmable, mobile, Forge-Energy-powered worker you build, give a job, power up, and command. Backed by an AE2-style storage network with little defrag bots, it's a full robotics-and-logistics layer for your base.
π€ WORKER MECHS
Assemble a mech at the Robot Builder, slot a role circuit to set its job, power it with Forge Energy, and point it at the world with the Mech Linker:
- βοΈ Mining Mech — digs a player-set quarry box top-down, stores drops, deposits to a linked chest, and recharges on its own.
- πΎ Farming Mech — harvests ripe crops, replants, and (with a Fertilizer module) bone-meals a marked field.
- ποΈ Builder Mech — builds .litematic / .nbt schematics block-by-block, pulling materials from nearby chests.
- βοΈ Combat Mech — guards a post, fights mobs in its radius, hauls the loot home, and can bank kill-XP in a Soul Tank.
Out of power a mech simply pauses — it never dies or griefs, and only mines tag-allowed blocks.
β‘ POWER
Everything runs on Forge Energy (FE/RF):
- Combustion Dynamo — burns ordinary furnace fuel to generate FE.
- Power Conduit — cheap cable to move FE around.
- Charging Pad — tops up any mech standing nearby.
Soft integration — any FE generator from any mod works too. No hard dependencies.
ποΈ DATA STORAGE NETWORK
A second kind of automation — an AE2-style storage system on Forge Energy:
- Main Drive — the powered network controller.
- Data Cable — wires the network together.
- Data Rack — storage that fragments as it fills (it shows live Defrag%).
- Storage Terminal — an ME-style grid to view, insert, and withdraw across every rack.
- Cache Crawler — spider-bots that scuttle over your racks and defragment them automatically.
No power, no access — but your stored items are always safe.
π§ UPGRADES & TOOLS
- Upgrade Station plus a deep module system (Speed, Capacity, Range, Efficiency, Fortune, Smelter, Silk Touch, Magnet, Soul Tank, Sharpness, and more).
- Mech Tablet — a fleet dashboard: rename, group, pause, recall, and inspect every mech.
- Holo-Guide — a full illustrated in-game manual (every machine, role, tool, and recipe).
β
COMPATIBILITY
- Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge
- Server-safe and dedicated-server tested.
- Configurable — packs can tune or disable features (max mechs, FE costs, mineable tags, and more).
- Uses common c: tags; doesn't clobber vanilla or other mods.
