# AutoCrafter
AutoCrafter adds a crafting table that can use items stored in connected containers. Select a recipe, check which ingredients are available, and craft without manually moving items into the crafting grid.
## The AutoCrafter
The AutoCrafter works like a crafting table with a recipe selector. Choose a recipe to see its ingredients and whether the connected storage contains enough items.
Available ingredients are taken from the connected containers when you craft. Items used for a craft are consumed from storage; they are not left in the crafting grid. The result is placed in the output area, where you can collect it.
The interface also lets you browse items stored in connected containers and view the contents of connected result containers. These views help you check what the network contains without opening every chest.
## THE TuBe
THE TuBe is the connection block used to link containers to the AutoCrafter. Its position determines its role:
- A container connected above THE TuBe is treated as an input.
- A container connected in front of THE TuBe is treated as an output.
This allows the network to draw ingredients from input containers and send crafted results toward output containers.
## Container network
The network follows the physical connections made with THE TuBe. There is no fixed distance limit between connection blocks. If part of the network is in an unloaded chunk, that part is ignored until the chunk loads; the mod does not force-load chunks.
When choosing where to take items from, the AutoCrafter follows the network’s defined order. If one container does not hold enough of an ingredient, it continues to the next container in that order.
Breaking a THE TuBe block changes the network according to which containers and connections still have a valid path to the AutoCrafter. The contents of containers are not intentionally moved just because a connection is broken.
