Description
Alchemic-Atelier
Brew in an alchemy cauldron and what comes out remembers what went in.
Every item in Alchemic-Atelier carries two things beyond its name: a Quality from 0 to 999, and a set of Traits. Put items in a cauldron and the result inherits both from its ingredients.
Quality is the average of what went in, not the best of it. One filler ingredient drags the whole batch down. That single rule is what turns gathering into a decision instead of a chore — a stack of whatever is nearest will produce something, but it will produce something worse.
Traits
59 traits, ranked in tiers and bound by category to what they can sit on: weapons, tools, armour, bombs, medicines, food, containers and worn accessories. A trait that raises armour cannot land on a bomb.
30 trait fusions. Two traits meeting in the same pot become a third that no recipe hands you directly — bulwark + durable_3 becomes adamant. Fusions are discovered by brewing, not by reading a list.
The loop
Traits reach the tools you gather with. rich_harvest raises the quality of what blocks drop; sages_eye biases which traits come with them. A well-made pickaxe changes what the world drops back into the pot, which closes the loop:
craft → gather → craft better
What you can make
66 synthesis recipes, across:
Bombs — thirteen, in five elemental lines (blunt, fire, frost, gale, spark) and up to three tiers each. Explosions grow by gaining a layer rather than by getting bigger, so you can tell at a glance which one you threw.
Remedies — salves, potions and elixirs that heal by quality, in both drink and splash forms. Jars carry a durability bar; bottles stack.
Charms — five of them, worn in a Curios charm slot. The slot holds exactly one, so these are five ways to play rather than five things to stack: pull items toward you, raise what your cauldron produces, double crop drops, leave lamps behind you in the dark, or push your bad luck onto something else.
Travelling gear — a feather that flies you back to a bound cauldron, a rideable broom, a dowsing rod that points at the nearest ore without giving up the coordinates, a bag whose number of rows is itself a synthesised number, and a lunar lamp that is pure light and no block at all.
Five cauldron tiers, iron through netherite, each lifting the ceiling on the quality it can reach.
Installation
Install NeoForge 21.1.250 or newer for Minecraft 1.21.1.
Drop the jar into your mods folder.
That is all — there are no required dependencies beyond NeoForge.
Optional:
JEI — lists every synthesis, refining, kiln and fusion recipe. Strongly recommended; the fusion table is hard to explore without it.
Curios — provides the slots the charms and the travelling bag sit in. Without it the mod loads and plays normally; those items simply lose their slot.
