Astralium
Astralium is a late-game progression mod that expands Minecraft’s End with a rare cosmic material, powerful equipment, specialised mining abilities, and unique movement mechanics.
Venture beyond the central End island to discover Astralium Ore among the outer islands. Recover an Astralium Upgrade Template from an End Ship, gather the materials you need, and upgrade your Netherite equipment into a complete set of Astralium armour, weapons, and tools.
Astralium is designed to extend the vanilla endgame rather than replace it, giving you new goals to work towards after reaching the End while keeping progression tied closely to exploration and existing Minecraft systems.
Astral Momentum
Astralium weapons feature the Astral Momentum system, rewarding well-timed consecutive attacks.
Landing charged strikes builds Momentum, increasing your damage as you maintain the chain. Let the chain expire and your Momentum is lost, encouraging deliberate timing rather than constant clicking.
The Astralium Axe also gains improved attack speed as Momentum builds, making sustained combat increasingly powerful when used well.
Shifting Excavation
Astralium tools come with Shifting Excavation, a configurable multi-block mining system designed to make large projects faster without turning your tools into indiscriminate block breakers.
Switch between excavation modes to change the size, shape, and direction of the mining area.
The system respects tool suitability, block hardness, protected block entities, and normal server-side block-breaking rules.
Astralium Armour
Wearing a complete set of Astralium armour unlocks several powerful abilities designed around movement and exploration.
- Perform a double jump while airborne.
- Become immune to ordinary fall damage.
- Use a configurable virtual void floor near the bottom of supported dimensions.
- Walk, jump, and fight above the void as though solid ground were beneath you.
- Place blocks directly onto the virtual floor.
- Protect dropped Astralium equipment from falling beyond the floor.
The virtual void floor is especially useful in the End, allowing you to build and move through areas that would normally be extremely dangerous.
Astralet of Preservation
The Astralet of Preservation is a powerful cosmic charm that protects your belongings through death.
While equipped in its Curios slot, it preserves your inventory when you die, allowing you to keep your carried items, armour, and offhand equipment instead of dropping them.
The Astralet itself remains with you after death, making it a valuable late-game item for dangerous exploration, combat, and building around the void.
Experience is still lost normally.
Progression
Astralium builds on Minecraft’s existing late-game progression.
Begin by reaching the outer End islands and searching for Astralium Ore. To turn the material into equipment, you will also need to locate an Astralium Upgrade Template inside an End Ship.
From there, Astralium can be used to upgrade Netherite equipment and unlock the mod’s more advanced combat, mining, movement, and utility mechanics.
The goal is to make reaching the End feel like the beginning of another stage of progression rather than the end of one.
