Ars Fusion
Your equipment. Ars magic.
Ars Fusion adds equipment fusion through the vanilla anvil. Keep the equipment you like and combine it with supported Ars Nouveau casting tools or magical attribute bonuses.
Equipment Fusion
| Left input | Right input | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Ars armor | Armor for the same slot | Keep your Ars armor, threads and upgrades; gain the donor's allowed attribute bonuses. |
| Melee weapon or mining tool | Enchanter's Sword | Add its stored spell and native hit-triggered casting. |
| Bow | Enchanter's Bow | Attach an Ars spell to the bow's own projectiles. |
| Crossbow | Enchanter's Crossbow | Keep native loading and firing; attach magic when the crossbow fires. |
| Shield | Enchanter's Shield | Gain native Ars block buffs and mana-funded self-repair. |
| Ars spellbook, wand, mirror or supported caster | Staff | Add allowed held attributes and supported staff-specific traits. |
Each fusion consumes both inputs and one experience level. Each fusion type can be applied once to the corresponding receiving item.
The result keeps the left item's identity and appearance. Donor enchantments and physical weapon stats are not copied by casting fusion. A fused shield gains utility rather than a spell slot.
Keep Your Native Equipment
Weapon and ranged fusion preserve the receiving item's ordinary behavior. Bows and crossbows keep their own ammunition, projectile types, enchantments and durability behavior. Native Ars augment arrows are supported.
Rewrite bound weapon spells at the Scribe's Table, using the corresponding Ars tool's rules. Ars spellbooks used as staff-fusion recipients keep their normal spell slots and editing controls.
Optional Integrations
- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks: supported armor retains native spell-container functionality alongside filtered attributes. Native Iron staffs can contribute their held attributes.
- Goety: fused staffs retain intrinsic staff identity for supported native staff checks, such as the Frost Staff's Ice Spear variant. Focus contents and focus enchantments are not transferred.
- Ars Conflux: supported fused bow and crossbow casts use its preparation, cooldown and spell-context APIs when installed.
Iron spellbooks are not staff-fusion materials. Their accessory bonuses cannot be copied onto another casting item through this feature.
Iron, Goety, Ars Conflux and other Nouveau integration addons are optional.
Configuration
Fusion categories and automatic compatibility can be configured independently. Item tags control supported targets and blacklists; attribute blacklists control which donor bonuses transfer.
Armor fusion excludes armor and armor toughness by default. Staff fusion also excludes attack damage and attack speed by default. A separate option adds toughness based on an Ars armor piece's actual upgrade tier; it is disabled by default.
Settings are in ars_fusion-server.toml. On Forge, server settings are stored in the world's serverconfig folder; pack authors can use defaultconfigs for new worlds.
Requirements
Available for Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge and Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge. Install the matching version of Ars Nouveau and its dependencies on both the client and server.
Ars Conflux is not required. Automatic compatibility covers standard item and event paths; custom asynchronous weapons or unusual item mechanics may need a dedicated integration.
An independent addon by EndXiom, licensed under MIT. Native mod assets are not bundled.
