Ars Alchimie Title

Ars Alchimie is an add-on for the Ars Nouveau and StarbuncleMania mods, which brings Alchemical processes to Minecraft for 116+ materials from various mods and vanilla Minecraft. This mod serves as an homage to ProjectE while aiming to create a more balanced experience. Additionally, this mod aims to complement larger modpacks that significantly expand end-game materials.

To begin, search for the philosopher’s stone entombed in bedrock. This can be found at the bottom of some underground lava pools found at the bottom of the world (bedrock level). It can also be found by using the “/locate structure” command. Extracting the philosopher’s stone has several requirements. First, you must have defeated the Wither and Ender Dragon (in other words, have dealt lethal damage to both bosses). Second, you must be at full health; otherwise, the extraction will do enough damage to kill you. Right-click the entombed philosopher’s stone to begin the extraction process.

Once you have been accepted by the philosopher’s stone, you may notice that the philosopher’s stone has strange transmutative effects on certain blocks. The philosopher’s stone can be used to craft all the blocks in this mod.

The equivalization basin can be used to equivalize certain materials. Right-click the equivalization basin with an item to equivalize it. A list of currently supported items can be found below:

Equivalized items can be transmuted into other equivalized items using the alchemy table. All items to be used are placed on the tri-pointed sigil in the alchemy table’s GUI. The top point is for the item to be created (or what will be produced). Note, this item must be equivalized. The bottom leftmost point is for the item to be sacrificed. Note, this item must also be equivalized. If the value of the sacrifice is equal to or exceeds the value of the item to be created, the alchemy rune will glow blue and can be used to alchemise the desired item. If additional equivalence is needed, buckets of liquid source (from StarbuncleMania) can be added to the rightmost point of the sigil. Every five(5) millibuckets (m🪣) of liquid source is equivalent to one(1) equivalence. If any equivalence remains after alchemization, the refuse will be returned as equivalence dust. Every alchemy attempt has a 20% (configurable via gamerules) chance to fail, resulting in equivalence dust being produced with a loss of equivalence.

Equivalence dust can be combined by holding one item in your main hand and one in your off-hand and right-clicking. Equivalence dust can also be split by sneak-right-clicking with an empty off-hand.

Commands:

/equivalence [set/remove] [mainhand/offhand]

Can be used to add or remove equivalence to any item (even if not supported by the mod).

/gamerule chanceOfAlchemyFailure [0:100]

Changes the percent(out of 100%) chance that performing alchemy will result in failure/loss of equivalence.

/locate structure ars_alchimie:philosophers_stone_entombment

Locates the nearest entombed philosopher’s stone.
