ARPO — Adaptive Resource & Performance Optimizer
ARPO is an adaptive performance and resource management mod designed for heavily modded Minecraft 1.20.1.
Instead of modifying or replacing other mods, ARPO observes how your modpack behaves, analyzes resource usage, detects unnecessary work, and identifies potential performance bottlenecks. Its goal is simple: make Minecraft do less unnecessary work while keeping your modpack stable.
🔍 Smart Modpack Analysis
ARPO automatically analyzes your installed modlist and builds an understanding of:
-
Installed mods and versions
-
Dependencies and optional dependencies
-
Compatibility integrations
-
Resource namespaces
-
Potentially unused or orphaned resources
-
Client/server compatibility
-
Performance-heavy operations
This allows ARPO to understand which compatibility features are actually relevant to your modpack.
⚡ Performance Monitoring
ARPO continuously monitors performance while keeping its own overhead as low as possible.
It can track:
-
CPU usage
-
Memory usage
-
Garbage collection activity
-
MSPT and tick duration
-
Performance spikes
-
Stutters
-
Resource loading
-
Repeated operations
-
Potential bottlenecks
Instead of only showing average performance, ARPO focuses on identifying the occasional spikes and long-running operations that can cause noticeable stuttering.
🧠 Adaptive Optimization
ARPO is designed around a simple principle:
Observe → Analyze → Verify → Optimize
The mod does not blindly disable features or modify other mods.
When ARPO detects potentially unnecessary work, it evaluates the situation and assigns a confidence level before considering an optimization.
If an operation cannot be safely optimized, ARPO leaves it alone.
