ArmoryX

Vanilla armory, enhanced. Adds 40 new armors and 30 new tools, all made with only vanilla ores!

ArmoryX - Vanilla Armory, Enhanced

ArmoryX adds new armor and tool sets for vanilla materials like amethyst, quartz, lapis, redstone, coal, and emerald. Each material has a full armor set and tools (sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe), and they all have different stats. Some focus on durability, some on enchantability, some on raw armor, and some have special mechanics. All the stats of each material type is listed below.

The mod also adds a reinforcement system using the Smithing Table. You can craft a Reinforcement Template and upgrade armor pieces into reinforced versions with boosted stats. The stronger the material, the stronger the reinforcement. Reinforced armor is basically the normal version, but significantly stronger. For example, if you have a lot of iron but no diamonds, you can reinforce your iron armor to make it comparable to diamond-level protection.

How To Get ArmoryX Items

Crafting Custom Tools & Armor

The crafting recipes for the custom tools and armor are the same as for the vanilla ones but crafted with the one of the following items depending on what you want to craft: amethyst shard, nether quartz, lapis lazuli, redstone dust, coal, or emerald. Here are some examples:

Reinforcing Armor

If you have enough materials, you can reinforce your armor. This works with all 6 armor types from the mod, as well as 4 vanilla ones: iron, gold, diamond, and netherite. To start, you'll need a reinforcement template of whatever material you're reinforcing. For exmaple, to reinforce a Lapis Chestplate, you'll need a Lapis Reinforcement Template. To craft one, just put 6 of the desired material and one block of the desired material in a crafting table in this shape:

OR

Once you crafted the template, here's how to reinforce your armor once and for all.

In a smithing table, put the template in the first slot, the armor you want to reinforce in the second slot, and a block of the material type you're using in the third slot, like this:

And boom, you officially have a reinforced armor piece!

Material Stats

Amethyst
High protection but extremely low durability. Strong, but breaks quickly. Reinforced Amethyst increases protection but remains relatively fragile compared to higher tiers.

Quartz
Nether‑themed material with solid durability, added toughness, and slight knockback resistance. All quartz gear is immune to burning in lava. Reinforced Quartz improves its durability and protection, making it a sturdy mid‑late tier option.

Lapis Lazuli
Built around enchantability. Very high enchant potential but lower durability. Reinforced Lapis further boosts stats and becomes one of the strongest enchant‑focused materials.

Redstone
Low protection but extremely high durability and toughness. Designed for endurance rather than raw defense. Reinforced Redstone pushes durability and toughness even further.

Coal
Slightly weaker than iron. Can be used as furnace fuel. Reinforced Coal burns at 160% of the coal used to craft it while remaining viable in combat.

Emerald
High raw stats with almost no enchantability. Powerful but not enchant‑friendly. Reinforced Emerald significantly increases armor and durability while keeping enchantability low.

Reinforced Netherite
The true endgame tier. Extremely expensive to craft and intentionally overpowered. Each piece grants scaling potion effects, more pieces increase Resistance and Regeneration, and the full set grants additional Strength and Speed. This armor is meant to reward heavy late‑game grinding and significantly surpass standard Netherite.
