New Features

New Blocks

Frozen Wood Variants: Tougher wood that has to be defrosted in a furnace to be used in crafting. Frozen spruce trees can be found in cold biomes and in the Frozen Taiga biome. Other frozen wood can be created using the Freezer.

Thin Ice: Ice that cracks and breaks if you stand on it for too long. Can generate anywhere there is ice.

Freezing Ice Variants: Ice that freezes entities that walk on top. There are variants for normal, packed, and blue ice.

Ground Ice: Carpet height ice that can be found in cold biomes.

Freezer: A block crafted from shards of Avengar and redstone blocks. It turns items into their frozen variant if they have one.

Icicle: Dripstone like block but ice.

Shard of Avengar: A freezing crystal found in mysterious comets, can be used to create Avengarian Blade and Freezers.

New Weapons

Sword of Avengar: Freezing sword crafted from Shards of Avengar, it freezes entities attacked with it.

New Armor

Insulated Armor: Variants of all armor types except leather. It is crafted from 8 wool blocks and a piece of armor. Protects you from freezing damage. Currently removes enchantments.

New Mobs

Grizzly Bear: A neutral small bear found in taiga. Currently has no AI or texture.

Penguin: A passive mob found in frozen oceans and snowy beaches. Currently has no AI.

Snow Gnat: A small flying hostile mob. Currently on Avengar spawns them but it is planned for them to spawn in snowstorms. They currently won’t go near cats and eventually they won’t go near fire.

Frozen Zombie and Frozen Zombie Villager: A slower variant of the mob with slightly more armor. It gives you the freezing effect. Textures are placeholders.

Stray Prince: A powerful Stray that has a sword. Spawns in Ice Dungeons.

Avenger, the Stray King: A boss that is found in Ice Dungeons (currently it is not). To defeat him you must first destroy the Shards of Avengar (not currently implemented). He has a ice ray and a power melee attack. He also summons Snow Gnats.

New Biomes

Frozen Taiga: A taiga with frozen spruce trees and spawns frozen mobs.

New Structures

Ice Dungeon: A sprawling dungeon that contains Avengar’s throne room (in the form of a portal to a dimension). Currently not implemented.

Mysterious Crater: A crater containing a comet with a Shard of Avengar inside.

Snowstorms

A weather event that makes it snow and causes all non-frozen entities above ground that are not near fire or wearing insulated armor to begin freezing. Freezing slows down entities and deals damage.

Spreading of the Cold

The world gets colder and snowstorms begin happening in once warm places. It is planned for it to stop when Avengar dies but this is not implemented.
