Version 1.0.0 - Initial Release
Welcome to the first official release of Applied Automata. This initial version introduces the core drone construction framework built seamlessly on top of Applied Energistics 2, allowing players to fully automate the placement of Litematica schematics directly from their ME networks.
New Blocks and Machines
Added the Drone Station, a fully functional AE2 network node. It requires a channel to operate and dynamically consumes one AE per tick for every drone currently deployed in the world. The station interfaces directly with ME storage and auto-crafting CPUs to pull resources or request missing items on demand. The block features a custom glass monitor display that updates in real-time to show the station's current idle, preview, or building states.
New Items and Tools
Added the Architect's Wand, the primary tool for linking and manipulating blueprints. Players can crouch and right-click to link the wand to a Drone Station, which then securely saves and displays the linked coordinates in the item tooltip. Holding the wand projects a glowing blue X-ray highlight around the linked station that remains fully visible through all terrain and walls. Using the wand, players can set target destinations to move blueprints across the world or rotate the entire hologram smoothly in ninety-degree increments.
New Entities
Added Construction Drones and Destruction Drones. These custom flying entities deploy dynamically from the station based on the total block count of the active blueprint. Destruction drones will systematically clear the designated area of obstructing blocks, while Construction Drones fetch required items from the network and place them precisely where needed. The swarm size and movement speed automatically scale with the physical size of the project to ensure highly efficient building.
UI and Rendering Features
Integrated a custom Blueprint Menu Screen that reads directly from the client's local Litematica schematics folder. Selecting a blueprint casts a massive 3D wireframe and ghost-block hologram into the physical world. During the active construction phase, the UI securely locks to prevent accidental changes and transitions into a live-tracking dashboard. This locked dashboard displays a dynamic progress bar, the current action status, and a scrolling inventory list featuring 3D rendered models of all required blocks along with real-time placement completion ratios.
