Lightweight grief protection mod that prevents Creepers, Withers, Wither Skulls, and Ghast Fireballs from destroying blocks and damaging the terrain while keeping entity damage active.
Anti Swiss Cheese is a lightweight, zero-dependency Quality of Life (QoL) mod designed to protect your builds and world terrain from mob-induced explosions without removing the danger of combat. This mod is all about hating holes from explosions (which do not yield the total blocks destroyed), hence the name.
Features
- Creeper Explosion Protection: Creepers no longer destroy blocks or blow up terrain when detonating.
- Wither & Wither Skull Shield: Prevents the Wither's initial spawn explosion and all projectile Wither Skulls from breaking surrounding blocks.
- Ghast Fireball Protection: Ghast fireballs deal damage to targets but won't crater the Nether or break nearby blocks upon impact.
- Pure Combat Balance: Mobs still deal damage to players and surrounding entities—only environmental/block destruction (griefing) is disabled.
- Server-Friendly: Ultra-lightweight logic designed to run seamlessly on both singleplayer worlds and dedicated servers without performance impact.
Why use this mod? Vanilla game rules like /gamerule mobGriefing false disable unintended mechanics (like villager farming or sheep eating grass). Anti Swiss Cheese specifically targets explosive block destruction while leaving all other mob behaviors completely intact.
