You also need the resource pack: Animated 3D Doors The pack gives every door and trapdoor its 3D model, handles and bolts. This mod makes them move. Install both.
Vanilla doors snap from closed to open in a single frame. With this mod they swing. The handle goes down first, then the door swings open and bounces back a little when it hits the stop, as if you pushed it a bit too hard.
It's a small client-side Fabric mod. The animations themselves come with the Animated 3D Doors resource pack, so every door type gets its own movement.

Doors never go past 90°, so they don't clip into walls. Wooden and copper trapdoors flip open with a bounce, iron ones move heavy and steady. Click a door while it's still moving and it turns around from where it is instead of jumping.
The first and last frame of every animation match the world pixel for pixel, so nothing flickers when the door settles.
Without the pack, vanilla doors still get a basic swing, but no moving handles or bolts.
The mod only runs on your side. It works on any server, and other players see normal doors.
Animations are plain JSON files in assets/<namespace>/a3d_animations/<block>.json, with keyframes for the door leaf and every moving part. If you make your own door models, you can ship matching animations with them.
