Ameglass is a mod that lets you put sand in a bowl by this:

And taking the sand in a bowl and smelting it like this:

Now you stonecut raw iron.

Now you have amethyst, but this isn't all, there is an entire dimension you need to go to, so first get powdered silicon, and 8 (ANY WOOD TYPE) planks, and it will make encased unsmelted amythest.
