Always Check the Corners is a client-side Utility / Quality of Life mod designed to help players avoid missing ore blocks hidden in corners of ore veins during normal mining.

When a player naturally mines an ore block, the mod checks the immediate surrounding area and visually highlights adjacent ore blocks of the same type that are fully hidden inside stone or other blocks. These highlights only appear after the player has already discovered the ore, ensuring that the mod never reveals resources the player has not legitimately found.

The mod does not scan the world in advance, does not modify the world, and does not communicate with the server in any way. All logic and rendering are handled entirely on the client side, making it safe to use on multiplayer servers that allow client-side QoL mods.

Key principles:

No X-ray behavior
No terrain scanning
No server interaction
Only reacts to player actions

Visual behavior:

Highlighted blocks are shown using subtle outlines and HUD indicators
Highlights are only visible within a limited distance
Highlights automatically disappear when:
- the block is mined
- the player moves too far away
- the highlight timer expires

Always Check the Corners is meant to feel like a natural extension of player awareness — a small helper that reduces frustration without removing the challenge or discovery aspect of mining.
