AlphaMatte
A high-performance client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.3 that captures isolated, transparent 32-bit RGBA cutouts of in-game entities and players straight to .minecraft/screenshots/cutouts/ with zero client lag.
Features
- True 32-bit RGBA Transparency: Native alpha preservation directly from an offscreen RenderPearl framebuffer. No black background masks, chroma keying, or fringing halos.
- Clean Isolation: Entity shadows and floating nametags are automatically omitted from cutouts.
- Dual Capture Modes:
- Studio Mode: Perfectly lit, centered, upright wiki-style render with neutral pose and dual studio key/fill lighting (
ENTITY_IN_UI). - Camera Mode (WYSIWYG): 1:1 match with your live in-game camera angle, field of view, distance, and environmental lighting.
- Auto Mode: Intelligently chooses Camera Mode when viewing third-person or targeting mobs, and Studio Mode for first-person self-portraits.
- Studio Mode: Perfectly lit, centered, upright wiki-style render with neutral pose and dual studio key/fill lighting (
- Supersampling (1x, 2x, 4x): Renders high-DPI, ultra-sharp cutouts on demand.
- Optional Auto-Crop: Automatically crops transparent canvas padding down to the entity's bounding box for instant sticker/wiki use.
- Zero Client Lag: GPU texture readback runs asynchronously via dedicated readback buffers, and PNG compression is offloaded to background IO threads.
- Clickable Chat Link: Directly open captured PNGs with one click from chat.
