almacenaria

Seven tiers of backpacks and chests, from 27 to 189 slots. Scrolling GUI, one-click sorting and toggleable auto-pickup. Dyeable, fireproof and death-proof. Works with Tom's Simple Storage and Simple Storage Network.

# Almacenaria

**Seven tiers of backpacks. Seven tiers of chests. Up to 189 slots in a single item.**

Almacenaria is storage that's easy to pick up and hard to put down. No power, no multiblocks, no networks to configure: craft a backpack, right-click it, and you're carrying a whole chest with you. When it starts feeling small, move up a tier.

---

## Backpacks

Seven tiers, each one worth an exact number of vanilla chests:

| Tier | Name | Slots |
|:---:|---|:---:|
| 1 | Backpack | 27 |
| 2 | Double Backpack | 54 |
| 3 | Triple Backpack | 81 |
| 4 | Quadruple Backpack | 108 |
| 5 | Quintuple Backpack | 135 |
| 6 | Sextuple Backpack | 162 |
| 7 | Septuple Backpack | **189** |

They sit in your inventory like any other item and open with **right-click**. No armor slot taken up, no extra curios dependency.

### What they do
- **Scrolling interface.** Six rows are shown at a time and you reach the rest with the mouse wheel or by dragging the scrollbar. No oversized window spilling off your screen.
- **Sort button.** Merges matching stacks and tidies everything up in one click.
- **Toggleable auto-pickup.** A button inside the backpack (or sneak + right-click) turns the magnet on and off. While it's on, nearby dropped items walk straight in.
- **Dyeable with all 16 dyes** on the crafting table, just like leather armor.
- **Renameable in an anvil.**
- **Fireproof.** Lava and fire won't destroy it.
- **Kept on death.** The backpack and everything inside comes back with you when you respawn. (Can be turned off in the config.)
- **Durability-style fill bar** on the item icon so you can see how much room is left at a glance.

### You can read the tier without reading a word
Every backpack carries **one metal stud per tier** on its belt: one on tier 1, seven on tier 7. The metal changes color on every tier too (old iron, copper, iron, gold, amethyst, diamond and glowing orange). Dye it whatever color you like — the studs stay put, because the dye only touches the cloth.

---

## Reinforced chests

The same seven tiers as blocks, from 27 to 189 slots.

They keep the shape, the style and the animated lid of the chest you already know — **only the wood color changes** with the tier: natural wood, copper, iron, gold, amethyst, diamond, and a dark finish for the septuple. You can tell them apart across the room without walking over to read the name.

- **Keep their contents when broken.** Mine the chest, pick it up full, place it wherever you want.
- **Animated lid and chest sounds**, exactly like vanilla.
- **Comparator output** based on how full they are.
- **Sort button** inside them too.
- **Renameable in an anvil** before placing.

---

## Works with your storage mods

The chests expose their inventory on all six sides through Forge's standard `IItemHandler` API **and** also implement `Container`. That means they work out of the box with:

- **Tom's Simple Storage Mod**
- **Simple Storage Network**
- Vanilla hoppers and droppers
- Pipes, conduits and logistics systems from other mods
- Any mod that reads adjacent inventories

A single septuple chest wired into your network is worth seven vanilla chests, with only one block to index.

---

## Recipes

**No tier requires the previous one.** Find diamonds early and you can jump straight to a tier 6 backpack without crafting the five below it. Every recipe uses a chest in the center.

- **Tier 1** — 8 leather (backpack) or 8 planks (chest) + chest
- **Tier 2** — 4 leather/planks + 4 copper ingots + chest
- **Tier 3** — 4 leather/planks + 4 iron ingots + chest
- **Tier 4** — 4 leather/planks + 4 gold ingots + chest
- **Tier 5** — 4 leather/planks + 4 amethyst shards + chest
- **Tier 6** — 4 leather/planks + 4 diamonds + chest
- **Tier 7** — 4 leather/planks + 3 diamonds + 1 **Reinforced Core** + chest

**Reinforced Core**: 4 diamonds in a cross around 1 netherite ingot.

It's balanced so the high tiers are a mid-game goal. The only expensive thing in the whole mod is the Reinforced Core, and it's only needed for the final tier.

---

## Configuration

In `config/almacenaria-common.toml`:

- `keepBackpacksOnDeath` — keep backpacks when you die (default: true)
- `autoPickupRadius` — auto-pickup radius in blocks (default: 5)
- `autoPickupIntervalTicks` — how often it scans for items (default: 10)
- `allowBackpacksInsideBackpacks` — allow nesting backpacks (default: false)

# Almacenaria

- **Tom's Simple Storage Mod**
- **Simple Storage Network**

- **Nivel 1** — 8 cueros (mochila) u 8 tablones (cofre) + cofre
- **Nivel 2** — 4 cueros/tablones + 4 lingotes de cobre + cofre
- **Nivel 3** — 4 cueros/tablones + 4 lingotes de hierro + cofre
- **Nivel 4** — 4 cueros/tablones + 4 lingotes de oro + cofre
- **Nivel 5** — 4 cueros/tablones + 4 fragmentos de amatista + cofre
- **Nivel 6** — 4 cueros/tablones + 4 diamantes + cofre
- **Nivel 7** — 4 cueros/tablones + 3 diamantes + 1 **Núcleo Reforzado** + cofre
