Do you believe that Minecraft's progression is too quick and needs to me smoothened?
This mod attempts to solve this problem by adding two new material tiers between iron and diamond: Steel and Rose Gold.
Steel is obtained by combining iron with coal while Rose Gold is obtained by combining Gold and Copper.
Steel is intended to be a more durable iron, though it has a slightly higher tool efficiency than iron. In the other hand, Rose Gold feels stronger, it is quite durable and serves its purpouse as a midgame to endgame step.
You can also upgrade Iron equipment to Steel equipment with a Steel Upgrade and 1 Coal in the smithing table. Additionally, Copper and Gold equipment can be fused with a Rose Gold Upgrade to obtain Rose Gold equipment. This method of obtaining tools was implemented to allow players to use the generated loot of certain structures such as ruined portals while keeping its enchantments.
