What's new
AVP Predator — 0.1.3-fork
⚠ Breaking
- Update BLib to
0.3.0-fork, along with the sibling modules. The mod won't load on the old one. - Nothing was removed — everything from 0.1.2 loads exactly as it was.
What's New
Mud Bucket
Scoop up mud and cover yourself in it. Mud is a thermal cloak — while you're caked in it, a predator's thermal vision reads you as cold background instead of a living target. Lasts two minutes.
⚠ It washes off the moment you go underwater, and milk won't cure it. It only hides you from thermal — anything visible to electromagnetic vision still lights up.
Vision Modes — WIP
⚠ Still a work in progress. Expect rough edges, and expect it to change in a later release.
- The biomask now cycles between Regular, Thermal and Electromagnetic with a keybind. The mode is stored on the helmet, so taking it off disables the effect and putting it back on resumes where you left off.
- Thermal picks out warm-blooded life and reads fire creatures as hot. Electromagnetic picks out End-realm beings instead. Both are tag-driven, so packs can retune them.
- Modes now fade rather than snap, with the length adjustable via
/avp_predator debug vision_transition_duration. - Blocks and non-living entities are classified properly instead of being lumped in with the background, so the world reads far more coherently through the mask.
Bug Fixes
- Vision could white-screen the game with Veil installed — Veil recompiles every vanilla shader, and the vision shader crashed its parser, leaving the pipeline throwing GL errors until something else fell over. The shader has been restructured.
- Heat vision showed the world as sky with Sodium installed. That fix is in BLib 0.3.0-fork — update it alongside this.
