Game Breaking Changes

None this release. No blocks, items, structures or entities disappear, and world loading is unchanged.

ONE BEHAVIOUR CHANGE WORTH KNOWING: the Metamorphosis potion no longer turns ovomorphs into royal eggs. Raw royal jelly is now the only way. Existing eggs, hives and worlds are untouched.

New

FIELD MANUAL: INDUCED FOUNDING

• A new chapter covering the poison jelly block: how to use it on a queen, and what you are agreeing to when you do.

CHITIN ARMOUR NOW RENDERS ON THE PLAYER

• All eight chitin sets have their worn armour textures: chitin, nether, aberrant and irradiated, plus the plated version of each.

Changes

• Scourge on a drone is now one-way. The first dose starts a carrier, a second dose during the cocoon redirects to a razor claw, and a third dose does nothing. It used to toggle back and forth, so the result depended on whether you happened to stop on an odd or an even dose.
• Empress eggs now drop at her ovipositor's exit instead of a block to the side of it.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed daughter queens never leaving home. A queen raised inside a hive stayed a member of that hive, which left her standing in her mother's territory with nowhere she was allowed to found. She now leaves and founds her own.
• Fixed a downed empress carrying on digging at 0 HP, including being sent out on a fresh dig while incapacitated.
• Fixed drones playing the digging animation away from the hive, in water and in rooms that were already finished. Repair crews were affected as well as carve crews.
• Fixed the Metamorphosis potion still promoting ovomorphs to royal eggs. That path was retired in favor of raw royal jelly, but leftover data files were keeping it alive.
• Fixed scourge on a drone matching two growth paths at once, where which one won depended on file scan order.

Removed

• 6 unused data files, all growth stages that no longer had any source: the three ovomorph-to-royal-egg stages and the three drone-to-razor-claw stages. Both paths still exist, they are simply defined properly elsewhere now, so nothing you can do in game has been taken away.
