🌶️ Alex's Chili Flavored MC
Welcome to Alex's Chili Flavored MC, a comprehensive vanilla+ overhaul mod designed to spice up your Minecraft experience! This mod bridges the gaps in early-game progression, adds new survival and combat mechanics, and rewards players for exploring new ways to craft and survive and makes the game overall harder.
If you feel like vanilla Minecraft's early game is too fast, the food system is too simple, or the mobs are too easy… this mod is for you.
Get a live! ❤
Like, no, really… you start with only 3 hearts. The only way to get more is by completing the classic vanilla achievements.
The New "Bronze Age" Progression
We have completely overhauled the early-game mining progression to make it more rewarding and paced. You can no longer skip straight to Iron and forget about punshing trees!
- Thick Bark: Punshing trees with your bare hands for wood is over! You need to look for an alternative way to get wood ;)
- Flint Tier: The new starting point. Use Flint to craft your very first set of basic tools.
- Copper & Tin Tier: Copper now has a complete toolset and armor set! You can also find Tin Ore in the world (and Deepslate Tin) to craft Tin tools and armor. Both Copper and Tin tools have a mining level equivalent to Stone.
- Bronze Tier: Iron Ore is now too hard to be mined with a Stone, Copper, or Tin Pickaxe! You must first smelt Raw Copper and Raw Tin together into a Metal Blend, which smelts into Bronze Ingots. Bronze tools are required to mine Iron, adding a highly rewarding "Bronze Age" to your world.
Unique Early-Game Armor
Armor sets shouldn't just be stat sticks. Some early game armors now come with innate, baked-in enchantments!
- Wood Armor: A cheap, early-game armor set that naturally comes with Protection I.
- Cactus Armor: A prickly defensive set that inherently possesses Thorns I.
- Copper, Tin, & Bronze Armor: Fully integrated standard armor sets to bridge the gap between Leather and Iron.
Survival & Dietary Mechanics
Survival is no longer just about hoarding one type of food.
- Diminishing Returns on Diet: You can no longer survive by eating only baked potatoes! If you eat the exact same food type 3 times in a row, you will experience "Food Fatigue". The food will lose 50% of its nutritional and saturation value, and you'll be prompted that it "does not taste as good as before." Diversify your diet!
- Sifting Pan: A new early-game tool. Use the Pan on Waterlogged Gravel/Sand blocks to sift for Flint, Iron Nuggets, Gold Nuggets, and even a rare chance for Diamond Chunks!
- The Fish Trap: A brand new waterloggable block that passively catches fish for you over time.
- Wide Awake: You need to craft a Dream Potion to be able to sleep out of 4 flowers.
Combat & Mob Overhauls
The world is a much more dangerous place.
Tougher Monsters: All hostile mobs have received a baseline buff of +30% Health and +20% Speed.
Elder Mobs: Every time a monster spawns, there is a 1% chance it will spawn as a terrifying "Elder" variant. Elder mobs have +60% HP, +30% Damage, and +30% Speed. Approach with extreme caution!
Goat Horn of Chaos: Sounding a Goat Horn now has chaotic consequences. It will instantly enrage nearby neutral mobs (Wolves, Iron Golems, Bees, Zombified Piglins) and turn them hostile against the player!
Tinkering & Anvil Modifiers
Enhance your gear without an Enchanting Table! You can now apply specific items directly to your weapons and armor in an Anvil to grant them unique modifiers:
- Fire Gem: Applies the Fire Aspect / Flame enchantment.
- Blight Extract: Coats your weapon in Poison.
- Sticky Goo: Coats your weapon with a Slowness effect.
- Spider Grasp Modifier: Grants a unique 33% chance on hit to apply a custom Stun effect to enemies.
- Leather Grip: Increases your weapon's Attack Speed.
- Feather Padding: Enhances your boots to reduce Fall Damage.
- Occult Rabbit Totem: A powerful utility item that grants movement and speed bonuses when hold in hand.
Many more stuff is coming!
This mod is a work in progress and gets updated over time.
In work:
- Aggressive Farm Animals: Passive mobs are no longer cowards. If you attack a farm animal (like a Cow, Pig, or Sheep), it will not run away in panic—it will fight back!
