Welcome to AlchemyLib: NeoForged!

This is a NeoForge 1.21.1 fork of AlchemyLib, originally a Forge 1.20.1 library mod by SmashingMods. AlchemyLib is a dependency for Alchemistry, and since I'm maintaining a NeoForge port of Alchemistry, porting AlchemyLib alongside it was a natural next step. This is purely a community port aimed at keeping the library alive on the latest versions, not a replacement for upstream.

AlchemyLib is a library mod for sharing code between ChemLib addon mods such as Alchemistry and Techemistry. It provides the common API — block-entity bases, capability handlers, networking, recipe codecs, and shared GUI components — that downstream chemistry/tech mods build on. Previously named alib.

How this differs from the original

The upstream AlchemyLib targets Forge 1.20.1. This fork ports it to NeoForge 1.21.1 (Java 21), with all capability, networking, and recipe APIs updated for the new Minecraft version. It may also include additional fixes, tweaks, or new features on top of the original — see the changelog for details.
