This update is a heavy reconstruction of automation, changing most of it from "smith" blocks to "eaters and feeders", which means that automated production will generally mean building and placing a number of feeder blocks, attaching hoppers to them to pull out their products, pushing that into furnaces, and potentially then running it into feeders to auto-craft up the ash/cinder/blaze/inferno ladder. Doing this balances out the power curve of the mod as desired; infinite resources are in reach, but if you really want to take advantage of the possibility, you need to build a magical factory.
This is also likely the last major overhaul for the foreseeable future; updates that are expected from here on include revising the documents to be less scattered, adding in-game documentation, refining textures, adding wand powers, adapting the bricklayer to produce blocks in all colours, and other relatively minor changes.
It is likely, however, that Alchemic Ash will likely be the focal point for a modpack heavily configured to work with it in the near future, which I'm working to develop, so that's kind of a "major expansion" to look forward to.
