There is something worth mining in the Nether now.

New

• A new ore hides in the Nether: palladium. Netherrack, basalt or blackstone, roughly Y 8–32, in small veins.
• Bring a diamond pickaxe. Iron and anything below it breaks the block and drops nothing.
• Easier to hunt than ancient debris. Around half the veins break through a cave wall, so you can actually spot them.
• Refines like the other metals — raw, dust, ingot and plate. The furnace gives one ingot per ore, the macerator doubles it.
• A vein reads as one formation. The block carries four looks that line up with each other instead of repeating one frame.
