Crude oil finally has a refinery: a tower you stack by hand splits it into two new fuels.

• Distillation Column — a tower you build yourself. Craft three column blocks, stack them on top of each other, and they lock together into a working 1×1×3 refinery.
• One bucket of oil, two fluids out. 1000 mB of crude gives 700 mB of diesel and 200 mB of fuel oil.
• Each floor has its job. Oil goes into the middle segment, diesel leaves through the top, fuel oil and power sit at the bottom.
• A cold column warms up first. Ten seconds of heating before the first run, then it keeps going while you feed it.
• Crack fuel oil into diesel. Pour fuel oil back into the intake and 1000 mB of it becomes 600 mB of diesel.
• Coke builds up over time. A fully fouled column stops until you right-click it with a wrench, which cleans it and hands you the coal.
• Rectification Section. An optional fourth block on top trims the losses: 750 mB of diesel per run instead of 700.
• Take it apart without spilling. Break any segment and the tower falls back into blocks — the base keeps the fluids that were inside.
