What's new

AkumaLib 3.1.0

Tools for addon makers, taken from Missing Missing no Mi. Blocks a technique puts in the world and takes back, bodies thrown into walls, allies an ability summons, forms put on from outside a fruit, markers on one player's screen, first-person arms and legs drawn right with a form on: the parts every fruit addon ends up writing are now written once, in the library. On its own, AkumaLib still changes nothing in your game.

Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47+ and Mine Mine no Mi 0.11.5. JEI and EMI are optional.

No signature was removed or changed: an addon made for 3.0.0 works with 3.1.0.

⚠️ The network protocol is new (5). A 3.1.0 client cannot join a 3.0.0 or older server, nor the other way round. Update the server and every player together. Missing Missing no Mi 1.0.0 needs AkumaLib 3.1.0.

New

  • Blocks that go away on their own. Walls, cages and platforms a technique raises disappear when it ends, when their owner dies or when the server stops. Breaking them, blowing them up or pushing them with a piston drops nothing.
  • Techniques that end with their user. A continuous technique can stop when its user dies; in Mine Mine no Mi it keeps going. The library also turns gravity back on after a floating technique, even across a reconnect, and gives a soft landing after a leap.
  • Thrown bodies hit what they meet. A body sent flying slams into the wall or the ground it meets, once.
  • Summoned allies behave. A summoned creature does not hit with its master's punch strength, only attacks what it should, and leaves when its master goes.
  • Forms put on from outside a fruit (a curse that turns someone into a toy) are seen by every player, stay after a respawn, a dimension change or a reconnect as long as they still apply, and come off at the right size.
  • Outlined creatures and screen markers for one player. An ability can outline a creature, or point at places on the screen, for its user only.
  • Ropes and lines seen by late comers. A player who comes into range after a line was drawn now sees it.
  • Progress, shared cooldowns and unlocks. A technique can count its uses to unlock the next one, and two techniques can share one cooldown.
  • Several hits in one blow. A technique can hit the same target several times in a row, each hit counted.
  • First-person arms and legs with a form on. Claws, nails and tools a form puts on the hands follow the arm as it moves, a Black Leg user sees their leg rather than a bare arm, and Haki and Diable Jambe cover them as they do without a form.

All of these are described on the AkumaLib pages.
