ModGuard is a lightweight Minecraft Forge security mod designed to give server owners greater control over which client-side modifications are permitted on their servers.

Built to work alongside the Jamal Controller system, ModGuard provides configurable mod detection, connection enforcement, and Discord reporting to help administrators maintain a fair and controlled multiplayer environment.

ModGuard can communicate with the separate Jamal Controller system to provide additional administrative functionality.

• Sends mod detection reports to Discord.

• Reports the affected Minecraft username.

• Includes the detected mod and violation reason.

• Can associate reports with linked Discord accounts.

• Helps administrators monitor attempted connections without constantly checking server logs.

🚨 Default Restricted Mods

ModGuard's initial configuration includes detection for:

Server owners can customize the restricted mod list to match their own rules. Map modifications are included in the default configuration but are not inherently cheating software.

ModGuard is intended for installation on both the dedicated Minecraft server and connecting clients. Matching ModGuard versions are required to avoid network compatibility issues.

Jamal Controller is used for the optional Discord reporting integration and operates separately from the Minecraft server.
