AI Pet Companion

Talk to your Minecraft pets using natural language!

AI Pet Companion brings large language models (LLMs) directly into your Minecraft world. You can now have real conversations with your pets, and even command them to attack enemies using natural language.

Features

• Natural Language Chat: Talk to your dog just like in real life. It will respond with unique, AI-generated replies.
• Combat Commands: Say @dog attack while looking at a mob, and your pet will immediately lock onto the target and defend you.
• Context-Aware: The AI understands your prompts and acts as a friendly, immersive in-game companion.

Requirements & Setup

1. Fabric Loader (Minecraft 1.21.3)
2. Fabric API
3. An LLM API Key (Currently supports Zhipu GLM).

⚠️ Important Setup: To use the AI chat features, you must put your own Zhipu API Key in .minecraft/config/ai-pet-key.txt. The file will be automatically generated on your first run.

How to Use

1. Make sure you have a server running or are in single-player.
2. Spawn a wolf (dog).
3. Press T to open the chat.
4. Type @dog followed by your message.
   • Example: @dog How are you today? (The dog will chat back)
   • Example: @dog go bite that zombie! (Aim your crosshair at a zombie first)
5. Alternatively, press the K key while looking at the dog to trigger a default interaction.

Important Note

This mod requires an active internet connection to communicate with the AI model. You must provide your own API Key. No API keys are hardcoded or shared.
