Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
v0.1.3 — Stats & Radar
New: /companion stats — a chat readout of your companion's HP, food & saturation, worn armor, held items (with durability), and a tallied inventory list.
New: Radar HUD — an on-screen locator bar that points toward your companion so you can walk to it, even when it's wandered beyond normal tracking range (the server streams its position and health).
- Shows bearing with edge chevrons when it's behind you, distance, an up/down hint, and turns red when the companion's health is low.
- Handles other dimensions ("other dimension") and going stale ("last seen").
/companion radar— or an (unbound, assignable) keybind — cycles ON / AUTO / OFF. Defaults to ON; AUTO hides the bar when the companion is close by.
v0.1.4 — Skills
New: teach your companion custom procedures.
/companion skill <name>— runs a user-authored skill: a plain-Markdown procedure the companion executes with its normal command loop. Tab-completes loaded skill names./companion skills— lists every loaded skill with its description, plus the folder path.- Skills live in
config/aicompanion/skills/*.md(name from the#heading, first paragraph as the description, the rest as instructions). Drop in a.mdfile, run/companion reload, and it's live — no restart. - Four examples ship by default:
lumberjack(gather a stack of logs),home-guard(follow and warn about hostiles),farming(build a watered crop field, asks what/how-big first), andharvest(harvest mature crops and replant). - Skill names and descriptions are advertised to the companion, so you can also just ask in chat ("use your lumberjack skill"). Toggle with the new
skills.advertiseInPromptconfig (default on). - New Skills tab in the in-game config screen (read-only list + the advertise toggle).
