Description
Agua Realista
Minecraft's water, like real water. It flows and spreads out without coming from nowhere, and it looks and moves like real water: it mirrors the sky, glints in the sun, rolls with the swell, and near you it makes waves and foam that react to what happens.
Español más abajo.
Water that really flows
- Every block holds an amount of water: it falls, runs off edges and levels out, and is never made from nothing. No more infinite water from two buckets.
- Seas and rivers refill themselves.
- Boats push the water aside as they go.
- You can turn it off with
/gamerule finiteWater false.
Water that really looks like water
- It mirrors the sky, more the lower you look across it. The sun glints on it, and the moon at night.
- Clear and greenish where it's shallow, so you see the bottom; dark blue where it's deep.
- Swell on deep water, bigger in storms. Ripples in the wind and rings where the rain lands.
- White waterfalls, with spray and a roar at their foot, louder the higher they fall.
- From under the water you see the bright circle of the sky.
Real waves and foam, near you
- Within about 32 blocks of you the surface really moves. Anything that drops in sends out rings; boats and swimmers leave a wake.
- Waves bounce off walls and break into foam where they hit. The foam drifts with the current and slowly fades.
- Waterfalls churn the water they fall into, and waves break into foam on the beach.
Settings
In Mods → Agua Realista → Config you can turn the realistic water off, or change how far the waves move (16 to 64 blocks) if your computer runs slow.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge.
- On a server, install it on the server and on every player's game.
- It doesn't work together with Sodium or Iris (shaders): they change how water is drawn.
- It replaces Minecraft's shader for translucent blocks, so another mod or resource pack that replaces it too may clash with it.
